Here are all of the American Girl Create Your Own dolls currently in our collection. I'm planning a FULL All My Dolls video soon, but this was more manageable and I really hope you enjoy it!

Thanks so much! There's something special about getting to pick out each feature, but buying other people's CYOs has meant a) we spend a lot less on them, b) we end up with some combinations we wouldn't have chosen or considered otherwise, and c) we know for sure that we like the way they look in real life *before* we buy them. :-)

great collection. You can add freckles by using a brown watercolor pencil dipped in water. Practice first on paper to determine the shade you like (I liked multi shades). I did this to one of my dolls all over her face using photos online as references and I was very pleased with the end result. I didn't seal them in case I wanted to remove.

Yep - I've added freckles with watercolors and cheek color with chalk pastels. I've been pleased with that so far. But I haven't ventured into sealing anything yet. Mr. Super Clear intimidates me lol, and since I'm not selling customizations, I don't feel like I *need* to seal my work :-)

I have done that too, and it works well. For an adult collector, I don't even seal them, but you probably should for a child. I'm inspired by all of the different freckle patterns people have come up with. They are so pretty.

I love Wren so much. I think she is my favorite. I’m a sucker for freckles. I have the one cyo I designed to look similar to my grandmother as a child.

@@agtakesover yes she is. I think I’m going to get her a dress off Etsy that is closer to what she would have worn as a child in the 1930s. I have a couple saved but I’m not sure if they are 100% what I want yet. She’ll keep the cup of “coffee” though since my grandma loved coffee.

They're all so very pretty. I completely agree re: the new Sonali eyes and I understand why you couldn't connect with your doll at first. I think that's amazing that the acetone actually fixed her freckles. And you're right that the eye liner does change the look of her eyes. You persevered and she looks great! Thank you for sharing your CYO collection. Just gorgeous.

Thanks! It felt like such a first-world problem to feel bummed that my arguably overpriced doll didn't live up to my expectations...but it *was* a bit deal to spend that much money on a doll. And I had been planning it for so long. And it's not like you can just return it since it wasn't defective. I'm really glad the persistence paid off, though. And I'm glad you share my opinion about the eyeliner helping. 🙂

@@bethbacarella I just followed you on IG (my IG account is not very active and not doll-centric). Your custom is beautiful. And for a Jess mold, my inclination would definitely be to commission a custom or to buy someone else's CYO ;-)

I love the freckles on Penelope. Giselle has beautiful eyes. Wren's curls are everything. Fallon is Beautiful, she's giving off Fallon from Dynasty vibes. I love Dani's wig!! James has very pretty eyes. Rosalie is perfect, and she is giving off Twilight vibes, I love it. My daughters name is Bella...maybe named after a family member, maybe named after Twilight, lol. Naomi has awesome hair. Simone is stunning, and wow that price. Piper is beautiful, I love her name. I named my TM115 Piper. You have so many CYO dolls. I love them all!! Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks! We've have actually sold Penelope. The good news is the person who bought her is OVER THE MOON about her and we've actually gotten several more CYOs since this video. I know you're working your way through my videos (I LOVE reading all the comments) so IDK if you've seen my most recent All My Dolls video yet, but that one has all of our current CYOs (plus Penelope, because we still had her when I filmed that).

Thanks! We've added one since that video, but she looks VERY similar to Giselle. So far Grace and I have each only ordered one from AG (the rest are second-hand) but with the new options they recently added, I'm tempted to order another. Do you know what features you'd want?

@@agtakesover I’m not 100% sure, but definitely freckles, brown eyes, brown hair (short bob or curly vs. Medium up for debate). Love the accessories too!

I love your collection and that you have so many with freckles! Freckles are my favorite feature available for CYO dolls! I haven't added a new one since 2020 and now I want one so much!

Yes! One of my biggest disappointments with the new truly me line is that only one doll has freckles! Freckles are great

Wow! You have such a beautiful CYO collection. It’s fun seeing how diverse the Sonali mold can look. I think my favorite is Dani as I love the custom wig you chose for her, but Simone is gorgeous, too. I love the light brown decal eyes with red hair. I have a custom like that, too. Also, thank you for the giveaway! I’ve entered on AGIG under the same username.

I love hearing people's stories about how different dolls came to be in their collections. So many memories get attached to the dolls that way😊 Piper is definitely my favorite. Something about her deep blue eyes just stands out to me. I also really like number 6 (james?) She's really pretty too. (Also, this comment is my 3rd and final bonus entry to the 1k giveaway)

I'm always surprised at the number of ppl who end up buying CYOs that look really similar to existing AG dolls, so I can see how that happened with your (yes, very generous!) friend. And yes, I have definitely lucked out! Usually I have found them NOT listed as CYOs and that's why no one has snatched them up. I'll cross my fingers you come across a good one. And about your CYO...do you think changing the wig out would make a difference in helping you connect with her?

@@agtakesover Sadly I think my friend would be broken-hearted if I changed this doll at all. She even named her and gave her a backstory when she gave her to me. She jokingly insists that that doll is the most beautiful one I have in my collection. It's a bit of a pickle I'm afraid!

Yes! You know I read those books in Spanish and I think it somehow made me not realize just how sad and disturbing Bella was...then I got the audiobooks in English from the library years later and couldn't listen for more than just a few minutes. Like...yikes. But I am still up for rewatching the movies every few years lol.

They're all stunning but Fallon might be my favorite. The freckle additions make a world of difference. I started typing this before I saw Dani. I think the wig and freckles are the biggest contributing factors. Truly such an amazing collection of dolls!

I desperately want a CYO but I'm not sure I want to spend the $ and not sure exactly what I would pick. I really want one of the boys but I wish they had the other "boy molds". I hear you - that price tag is daunting. And it's scary to think you might pay that much, be dissatisfied with the quality, and have AG tell you they think the doll is fine so you're stuck with it. That's why between Grace and I we have only purchased one CYO each from AG and the rest have been second-hand. While I like the idea of getting to pick the features, I do like saving money and knowing exactly what the doll will look like. (bonus entry recorded)

Actually, no. There are two we bought used and ended up selling. One was a jess mold that came in a lot with some other stuff (which is what we were actually interested in) and the other was a classic mold we got at a yard sale in our neighborhood. Both were pretty, but given the size of our collection and the space we have to house it, we sometimes have to play crappy corporate boss and tell a doll, "We're having to make some cuts around here..."

There IS a new freckle pattern! I saw an unboxing of someone's new Kaya mold CYO. They had ordered freckles and it had NEW FRECKLES! Apparently people getting other face molds with freckles are getting the old pattern, so it's either a) unique to Kaya's mold or b) the freckles we'll start seeing once all the heads with the other pattern have been sold. We'll have to wait and see (and your entry has been recorded - thanks for following the rules ;-)

I can probably narrow it down to three but can't pick an actual favorite. I do find it funny that my top choices are dolls that other ppl created (rather than the ONE cyo I designed).
