This was a major labor of love.Very much inspired by a fic where May & Ben both die at the Stark Expo and Tony winds up adopting Peter (Sins of the Father: archiveofourown.org/works/150.... I listened to this song after I finished reading that fic and thought it would be a good song for them, but refused to vid it. One month later and here we are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Big thanks to The Impossible for making this video even remotely possible with young Peter, and also for making it look like Peter owned a total of 1 shirt from the ages of 10-12.
Anyways I spent actual money downloading movies for this video (that I barely used), so I'm glad I actually finished it.

One of my favorite fan fictions right now revolves around Tony & Peter as father and son (it's called Walking The Wire, for anyone that hasn't read it, and it's AMAZING) and this video gives me all of those same feels. I adore this! And the parallel around 1:26 with Tony saving Peter and then Peter saving Tony is PERFECT!

Thank you!!!!!! That parallel was one of the first things I did in this video, that line was so perfect. And I remember actually checking that fic out when it first started getting posted, but I'm iffy on reading fics that are still in progress (especially when they're that huge)

This hurts when you think about what Peter would have gone through in this AU before he even became Spider-Man... nearly losing his dad three times (to the terrorists, poisoning, and the wormhole) and his mom once (in the final battle in IM3), all before he was 14 years old. Then to experience his own death, come back, and watch his father die for real this time. "Dad, I don't feel so good" was heartbreaking. Thank you for this 💗

I remember when my sister showed me this a while ago, and I was amazed of how good this person was at editing. It looks like the clips actually ARE together. It feels so realistic. They fit as a story. And the song makes me wanna cry, almost. And the "Dad" at the end instead of "Mr. Stark"... I can't even... I really see these two as father and son. Maybe not by blood, but still. This is a magnificent example of why I love the Marvel fandom!❤
