I'm one of the 6 Jury members that rated those maps. I can give some insights and explain why they got rejected: = First map: 2 wheel rail = Main Problem: Contains already released map + Map takes eternity to load The first part of this map is perfectly fine, but it's not enough as a standalone. So we contacted BurlyPog during building and told him to fusion two of his submissions together. The problem is that we found out too late that the entire second part of the map is already released as another map (Dank69). In the building rules it says that it's not allowed to copy-paste stuff from already released maps (there can be exceptions tho). On top of that the map had a severe technical issue: Very long loading time. I suspect that something went wrong during the building? = Second map: Plastic Uber = Main problem: Too many maps with same idea This is actually a well built & cool Kacky. Sadly we had to reject it, cus we already had too many other Uber Plastic maps like that in the pack. He could have resubmitted them for the next edition, but now that he released them himself already that's no longer possible. = Third map: Basketball double plastic uber = Main problem: We got same concept twice + Lack of effort in scenery It's also a Uber Plastic map, just like his previous one... people really submitted too many maps of this kind. The big problem here was that another builder (Robbie le Renne) submitted #158 which also had a double plastic uber, just like this one. We don't want to have 2 times the same map in the pack, so we were forced to decide on one of these 2 (exception is #190 & #191 which was done for the meme). The basketball idea is great, but scenery lacked building effort, it's kind of bald. Robbie's map ended up with a higher rating than this one, so that's why we picked it over BurlyPog's map. I'd like to stress that it's by no means a bad map, it actually got a good rating, it's just that Robbie's turned out better. = Fourth map: Noseboost = Main problem: Presentation not good enough for first ever Noseboost map + Ending The noseboost idea is Pog (pun intended), but everything around it isn't good enough. We currently don't have a noseboost map in Kacky and there also won't be a lot of them in the future. This means that our standards for accepting Noseboost maps are much higher, we want a map like this to be absolutely sick both gameplay-wise and visually as well as used in a creative context. This map features a basic PF start, followed by a great noseboost, but then an anticlimatic ending that is also very basic. That ending is underwhelming and not visually appealing, the platform gave me a "blackbox" feeling, it's essentially a blind yeet into a tiny gap + ramp + ring without any atmosphere. The map just doesn't meet our expectations for the first ever noseboost Kacky. We can compare BurlyPog's map to Viiru's #208 which had a much better building quality (it's technically also a chained nosebug, but without the speedboost). We gave BurlyPog feedback and asked him to improve the map, but he didn't update it. I would love to see an improved BurlyPog Noseboost map for the next edition, but it seriously needs much more effort put into building to meet our expectations for the first ever Noseboost Kacky. In summary: You proved to be a creative builder! It's just unlucky that 3 of your maps got rejected because other builders had the same idea. Some of your submissions were kind of rushed, while they had creative ideas, they lacked some effort put into building good starts/ends & scenery. The presentation of the map is very important. Scenery can be minimalistic btw (we would never ask for complicated stuff) but needs to be there to create atmosphere. Also: We don't reject maps for being too hard, but we reject hardcore maps that don't have a wicked presentation. Sometimes new builders send us ridiculously hard maps that actually look kinda free, that's a problem, Hardcore maps must also look wicked. Spoiler: Kacky maps are by no means "shitty" but they actually require huge effort and mapping skills.

This last Map seems crazy good ! I wish it would have made it in !! The first one is very creative but i feel like it's a bit to long compared to other kackys. For the second one i can understand the rejection as there is a map very similar allready in the set. All maps are cool

To be honest a lot of them looked very dull and ugly, so I can see why they were rejected. Maybe just focus on being a better map builder, kacky isn’t the one for you.

That second one with the plastic uber bug was clean. I would love to see that in the lineup.
