@@juck2263 Yes, Honda have released the prototype sedan but we haven't really seen the hatch yet. It does look a bit Audi like. Still a lot to learn about the engines and tech that will be supplied.

Nah, no way it looks like Audi. Some say the rear looks like BMW, but I am sort of blind when it comes to things like this. I don't really car how it looks, as long as it drives well, at least up to a point, hahaha. I loved the Multipla, for what it could do, but most people I know would go "Yeccchhhh!"

Both are very close. The City has more power, but the Vios GR has sports suspension and 10 speed with locked ratios, but costs a bit more. I enjoyed both.

Performance perhaps almera slightly better but overall i think city wins, due to handling and high rev end power.

@Hong Yung Tiew Almera wins because of performance power, handling and high rev as well. Even Nissan gearbox is smoother and far better than Honda gearbox

@@juck2263 I just owned my City just three months ago, but one of the doors which is front was not fixed properly and paint quality could easily peel off. Driving my new city could feel jerking because of Earth Dream Gearbox. And can hear loud noise from engine even during driving on the streets and highway.

@hanif noor Yeah right, City is more powerful than Almera. But Almera is also quite better power and more quieter than City. Almera is basically comfort car and safer with good reliable than City.

Annddd.... Honda went full circle. DOHC on K-series, then tried their best to justify the unjustifiable existence of the SOHC R-series..., now came back to DOHC. Don't they ever heard of, don't fix the wheel if it ain't broken?

But NVH quality got issues. Also Earth Dream Gearbox got problem too

Yes, you need to be a trained driver to do that.

Nowadays, tyre noise does seem louder as tyre makers fight to get more durability. Quieter tyres usually cannot last as long due to softer compounds. A thre is usually a compromise between road noise, grip, wet performance, dry performance and durability and often, one attribute will affect and work against another.

Hmmm, never thought of it like that, but probably the real reason is to carry more water when there is heavier rain. Gratings can get clogged up with debris and leaves, since there is jungle all around.

@@juck2263 Yes the taillights are similar to that of a bmw, but it's quite beautiful in my opinion. The front bumper is ugly for sure, too massive for such a small engine displacement. The dashboard is too simple. The previous gen looked more athletic, but the ga2 jazz city is the best looking of all the city in my opinion.

S or V depends on your budget, really. Machanically they are the same, with some features added for the more expensive variant. Both City and Vios ate similar in size and build, and very simular features, so it really comes down to brand preference, service network, and specific features that may appeal to you, including the looks of the car. The City has a slight advantage on power, but the Vios handles a bit better.

@davi Almera is more quieter, obviously. But didn’t hear any more engine sound from Almera engine but hear a bit as watched from videos. Even going up hill, but at least Almera have the power for going up and downhill because of turbocharged 3 cylinder engine even though Almera comes with 100PS and 152NM. In other words, more importantly, is that Almera comes with AEB and more reliable and stable than City. Cause heard that City got QC issues, even with earth dreams cvt. But at least didn’t hear any issues so far about jatco cvt for Almera but except for last gen Almera.

We have a video with the M3 going up. I suppose for India you would need the higher road clearance because of the road conditions. You would possibly have stiffer springs and larger diameter shocks for durability.

Honda have moved from DoHC to SOHC and back to DOHC, but each time they have refined the tuning. I believe DOHC has more potential for power.

@@AsthyllaAsim i bought 2021 vios! Great car not to say better than city but is worth the money compare to city as everything comes with the car. Fullsize spare tyre, pump, full accessories, dashcam etc².. as honda everything need to buy separately 😆

Yaris is quite better than City as Yaris comes with PCS (Pre Collison System) including AEB (Automonous Emergency Braking), LDW (Lane Departure Warning), Dashcam with FCW (Front Collison Warning), BSM (Blind Spot Monitor), RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert), ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) and 3D 360 degree camera. Unlike, City, it didn’t come with AEB but only come with LaneWatch (known as Blind Spot Monitor but only side camera). Even City S (low spec) and City E (mid spec) only come with 4 airbags but also No AEB. Moreover, Toyota gearbox is more reliable than Honda gearbox, especially for Toyota quality is also better than Honda quality.

Both are good, and much depends on what you really want. The RS would be more powerful, for sure, and saves on fuel, but costs more of course.

No way from me as well. Driven a few cars with torsion beam and multi-link/wishbone... you can find different at normal drive when hit some uneven road on 1 side... a hole or a bump on 1 side.... for torsion beam, you feel the back of the car shakes heavily and harshly, while for multi-link/wishbone, usually just feel the one side hit the holes is shakes but not the other side.... this is confirmed!

But Almera is quite better and more quieter with good uphill acceleration compare to City

5:58 There's a hint of understeer..well didn't heard that complaint in Vios & Almera videos..can climb faster but suddenly ends up in the longkang if not a professional as Mr. YS Khong

Hard to say - it should be okay. Perhaps you are going into the corner too fast.

Just service it regularly at your Honda centre. And use a good oil.

I think the City is still marginally faster: the Almera is about fuel efficiency, but nice to drive too.
