I'd love for you to elaborate on this in a video if possible. Because most aren't doing this. Not just car reviews, but also other stuff. I think it would be good for a bit of awareness. Maybe in a Q+A video or something? We haven't had that for a while...

Thomas, IMHO you are the most professional car reviewer on KZfaq, whilst managing to be humble and polite. Nowadays most reviewers figured out they have to be polarizing poets for the purpose of more views, without telling us much about the car itself. Keep up the excellent work, congratulations!

Great scenic mountain road, great driving and commentary, and excellent views through windscreen - many thanks for all the car enthusiast's info Thomas. And as you say at 32:07, definitely distracting to use a touch screen whilst driving! And great BLIS 'intervention' test "Live on Tape"! Good stuff.

The engine in this new Juke is not actually straight out of a Renault product. Also build quality should be good since the Sunderland Nissan plant has a proven track record for quality.

very very good job its the most profesional review i have seen here and belive me i have seen them all, some very goo also. So i absulutly love this car and i am buying one i just have some doubts whith the colour becsause the one i have seen was white withe te black top but i didnt have the oportunity so see the fuji sunset live so, in some videos seams one colour in others a diferent one thats why i would like to listen to your opinon abou t that. because all te rest is really well covered and lets face it at the the choose of the colour really matters.

I think the older one is funkier, it had all the cool details but look jarring when put together. So it was really confusing. This juke has the upper lights too much in the normal zone where you expect healdlights to be. So it loses some funky points

I like the look of the “panda” interior. It’s playful and the design details of the dash, cowl, center console, seats etc are fun and show some care by the designers. But come on with the speakers on the headrests with the silver band over the top. This trend of oversized cool headphones has now been transported into a car. Lol. That’s pretty OTT if you ask me.

cracking review as always, and at least this model is miles better than the previous gen (let's hope the gearboxes last), but also not really a small SUV now, so those that can just get it in a garage now, this new version, customers might struggle to fit it. Liked the use of leatherette/non leather options, and nice to see Nissan copy Honda with the rear door handle integration. Engine too low powered for such a vehicle, either needs a bigger engine for hills/overtake, or electric assistance/boost. At least Mazda offer a 121 or 150PS engine with the CX-3 and Ford have a 125 or 140PS with the Ecosport.

If its mainly about exterior looks, "all" of my friends agree that the new Renault Captur is better looking than this Juke. Hard to judge without seeing it in person, but the Juke might have the better interior (overall). Last thing, the original Juke sold well because it was released at the right time - lack of competition in the market, and it had certain things that customers were looking for at the time. It doesn't have those advantages now, and only has its Juke name, attached to a Nissan that isn't selling well in many countries.

it's lost some funky points but it's far funkier than any othet crossover out there. The Renault looks beautiful but too bland. Bland is boring. If people wanted to make pretty cars they'd all look the same so I applaud Nssan for keeping it funky

We had a first gen Juke at home before the C-HR, it was far from perfect but it was fun and lovely car, and I have to say this one seems to be much better and still very sympathetic, will be a success again. But i'd need a hybrid or Nismo version to buy it ;)

If you don't know this, I guess you're new and haven't heard the '1,86 or 6,1' dozens of times?? 😄 But the Juke is a B segment car, so like a Kia Rio or VW Polo or something. So basically the Micra is of the same segment, just non-SUV.

The captivating Captur II & jolly Juke II share the same platform. Both look superb! Impressive stance, great detailing, strong personalities. Totally the opposite to the humdrum, dull, boxy & bland VW Group models. Only one comes close: the powerful Peugeot 2008 II.

I get 46.4 mpg in urban areas with a Juke 1.5 DCI. Diesel is the way to go!

@Autogefühl I think part of the reason why all of the Japanese lacks behind their European counterpart when it comes to their infotainment system is that most of their domestic market vehicle (JDM) doesn't come with an integrated head unit. If you visit Toyota and Nissan Japanese website, you can see many of their official photos has a black cover (new RAV4) or an after-market style unit. So until more recently, it's quite clear a unified user interface across the vehicle was not a priority.

Like the new juke, I have a mark 1 juke with the CVT gear box, so cant wait to test the new one with the new 7 speed auto as the CVT gear box is awful, its put me in a quandary as I was looking at a used jag f pace for my next car. 🤔

hey Thomas, could you do a review of the new Renault Captur? I'm buying a small SUV, and the Captur was the most popular SUV for years. The new one has been massively upgraded, so I'm interested and I've watched a lot of videos on KZfaq, but how can someone buy a car without seeing a review from the BEST car review channel there is? I've seen a ton of your videos, even cars I'm not in the least interested in, and every one is great, so I'm really waiting for the Captur.

I agree, the new one looks too normal now. The upper lights are where you expect lights to be. The older one was funkier because the proportions were just all over the place

The interior is so much more premium and exciting compared to its’ competition which just look cheap and boring in comparison. I especially love the white upholstery.

Never ever I touch anything labeled Nissan after owning the 2017 Juke - most cars from Sunderland get dead CVT after just 30.000 km

I had 2016 Maxima and I had different issues, including the CVT. I owned it for just 16 months before it was declared a lemon. Nissan hasn't been same since they merged with Renault.

I actually like the way this new Juke looks, but sadly that gutless 1 litre engine is a deal breaker. Real shame as It would have been my next car . Think i’ll take a look at the kia x-ceed 1.4 instead.

The big difference in the design is made by the removal of the American regulation bumpers since they're not gonna sell this new Juke in North America

For various reasons (that you can find with a Google or KZfaq search), Nissan is not doing well in many countries. This Juke comes as with some of good changes made to address the criticisms on Nissan cars in general, but I still feel that it will not sell as well as they hope - not in all regions. There is also simply too much crossover-SUV competition in the segment, till the point where some buyers (and in this small segment especially) are returning to regular cars. They are cheaper after all, and "have better handling and on-road manners". This is the main area where I feel Nissan has made a mistake. Most people who buy these small sized crossover-SUVs, want things like comfort and softness with their higher road clearance/seating position, and reliability on different road conditions and slow crawling city driving (conventional gearboxes are better). Look at the leaders from the last few years in this segment, the Honda HR-V in most markets and the Captur in Europe... both of these cars are not know as Zoom-Zoom vehicles, if you know what I mean. Maybe this Juke can chip away at the CX-3's target market, until a all-new Mazda 2 and CX-3 comes out, at which point, it could become like the all-new 3/CX-EO and a premium level competitor to Mercedes & its rivals. Anyway, perhaps in the near future, you could have a VS video between SUVs (say below 4300mm?) like the: Captur, Juke, CX-3, Ford Puma?, etc.

What about fuel economy? Small engine means that you must all the time change gears, its not good that 2020 we still must use manual gearboxes,everything is so modern and then there is manual gearbox... . Even my 30 years old Audi 90 has automatic,its comfortable and also quite fast,if i push it little bit, it just goes,manual gearboxes are so ancient tech. Everyday driving must be as comfortable as possible. Most drivers never use sporty potential of their cars, its simply not safe and green.

@@user-fj1ep5kp7g small turbo engine like this is dead below 2000 rpm. and smooth driving is impossible with 6-speed manual gearbox,because 1-st gear is really short and whole driving expirience is very jerky business. If you live countryside,it's ok,but city driving is another story.

Too many piano black details, both inside and out. Even on the back of the headrests and armrest. This will be a scratched up mess in just a few years. I think its "cousin" the new Captur is a much better looking car, and it will probably be cheaper too. Still, I'd buy neither. I could have a fully loaded 1.6T Kona for about the same money instead.

Not really, it´s made for the city so the AT would be the right choice especially with the new DCT.
