Are the DayZ devs allergic to adding a new long ranged sniper that can take the hunting scope? What’s this like the 4th or 5th sniper/dmr that takes the acogs now? Such a let down.

I know right 😭😭, theres literally zero use of this new "sniper", it's just a worse version of the semi automatic DMR that 1 tap kos. Atleast let it take the AK suppressor or something, the devs preach stability and keeping things balanced but then thay add a semi automatic gun that 1 tap kos and then add a bolt action version of the same exact gun 😭😭

As mainly a person who enjoys playing the "sniper" role in pvp, im extremely disappointed that it takes the same optics as the scout rifle. I absolutely despise the scout rifle for that reason, sure the 6x acog is good enough, but if youre looking at someone 500+ meters away, theyre literally the size of an ant. Definitely could have made it take the hunting scope as well. Or maybe a new 6-7x or the actual real life 3-10x scope that actually goes onto the sv-98 irl. The irl sv-98 is a precision rifle designed to shoot out to at least 1000 meters.

We now have the Scout, DMR and Sv98 with NATO scopes, while still only the VSD that takes RUS scopes, I personally don’t count the SSG or VSS as Hightier Snipers it’s very much lacking Hopefully if and when they do eventually add a Russian sniper they’ll add a new scope with it

I too would like new optics, but i also like how the last few weapons they added (DMR and now SV-98) Give an actual purpose to the 6 times version of the ACOG, which was only really useful in the Scout (Pioneer) before.

@@MochineMike i personally disagree a little, the vs 89 existing along with last updates DMR means that they are willing to focus on more modern styled weaponry in the marksmans department, which they havent done for a while. HOWEVER i do agree that it should of been in a new caliber or had a new scope released along side it..

I’d really like to see a good semi auto hunting shotgun that spawns in the hunter stores and camps but other dude is so right the end game content is so lacking. There’s nothing to do once you get geared besides go and lose it all. Base building is so basic that’s what really needs an update if you ask me.

@@cunt7983 The problem is literally everything end game is military gear, they need to break away from that loop some to be honest. The only thing end game wise that really competes with military stuff would be Hunter Clothes. They could stand to keep expanding the hunter gameplay loop for players that prefer survival over PvP, not every player is a PvP warrior.

@@AhPook The other problem is that the kind of end game that some folks here are asking for is actually available - if people play on modded servers. "End Game" is just an idea in a game like this - DayZ is about the journey not the endless ever increasing width and depth of an MMO. More crap guns is just going to make more crap guns available in lower tier spawns - so... I kinda feel like folks crying about endgame simultaneously need to play on modded servers and more than likely already DO, since the vanilla experience of DayZ is no mystery to anyone - what it is, how it works, where the "reason" for playing is....

I really just want a building update. New walls/gates just more options and honestly they should do like raid weekends or a few days out of the week if you have a flag built maybe your walls have double health until 5 est (it could be different for servers based out of different regions) just anything to stop the offline raiding being so prevalent. I don’t necessarily struggle bc I have no life😂 but other people be having family and stuff they can’t be on 8 hours everyday or play at 4am when ppl wanna offline.

I truly believe bringing larger rounds like .338 would be a massive mistake for vanilla. We don't need any more powerful rounds - armor would become beyond useless if .338 or any larger rounds were added. It's better for that to stay with modded, and their overpowered modded armors

I've been hoping for the binoculars to have a stadiametric range finder like the pso1 scope. Or make a military version of the binoculars that can only be found in military zones. That way the binos will be a little more useful starting out and worth the space it takes in the inventory

So when I read “exotic” I wasn’t expecting more than the SV98, but I thought it would at least get it’s attachments…

I wish the repeater would get a scope I mean legit it’s possible bc some repeaters had scopes or maybe give us a way to craft a Bow and I for one would like a low caliber bolt action rifle lower than the 5.56 so that the gun is more easier to find with a scope and suppressor I know we got the pioneer or the sgw but maybe a 9mm or .380 bolt action rifle or semi auto rifle would be nice?

We got the FAL, we got the M14. Please devs add the G3. A battle rifle that can take a suppressor would be giga pog. It runs .308 and can have its own sets of furniture. If you wanted to be really fancy you could add the claw mounted ziess scope. Take it a step further maybe and add period correct east/west german camo?

Is it possible to fix dead bodies falling through walls? KOSing can be somewhat vain given that you could easily lose all the loot on an opponent bc of a glitch & thats not even counting the rounds spent on that firefight.

They need to add spray paint so we can spray paint anything 3 colors black green brown. Make the camo nets be used for cars instead of just tents and walls. Make them to where we can use them for wraps for our guns or even our fits. Arm bands on both arms. Use the flags to make bandanas with the logo in front. God they can do soooo much to make this game better and they would make so much more money.

They need to add, where you can’t just get offline raided an lose all your hard earn stuff so easily. Have an alert 🚨 notification that goes to your phone when your base is being raided . Idk how they could do that but that would be cool

Big brother of the SSG82 possibly you mean, as the 82 fires 5.45x39 and this SV98 fires 7.62x54(Soviet/Russian intermediate and full power rounds), and the Savanna is the "Big brother" to the Pioneer as the CR550 fires .308/7.62x51 compared to the Pioneer(Scout) firing 5.56x45, US/NATO full power and intermediate cartridges. 👌

Ingame its like a more powerful pioneer because they are both bolt actions that use the 6x acog as the best magnification.

@@illidur debatable, IMO, the PU is the goat optic, and I should be able to duct tape it to anything I choose, wether it stays zeroed or not is besides the point 😤🤣
