All New Toyota Yaris: How to set your Toyota Safety Sense System

The All-New Toyota Yaris comes with some highly advanced safety systems. In this short video we tell you how to use them to give the most enjoyable and relaxing driving experience. In this video we cover the Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive High Beam System, Road Sign Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Toyota Safety Sense cannot take the place of the driver. The Pre-Collision System may not operate properly due to a variety of road, vehicle, and weather conditions. The driver is solely responsible for safe driving.
Please note there is a small error in this video. At 2 minutes 50 seconds the 'speed limiter' button is pressed to activate the Adaptive Cruise Control. The correct way to activate this function is to push the same switch on the steering wheel upwards for cruise control.

When demonstrating the adaptive cruise control you press the wrong button in the video. You pressed the speed limiter! You need to press the top half of the button to activate the cruise control.

I found with my new Yaris, that to set the auto high beam headlights, you just set the light stalk to on or auto and then just press the button on the right, by the drivers legs. You don't then push the light stalk forward. If you do this, it will just cancel the auto headlights and put the high beam on.

to activate the Adaptive cruise controll press the top part not the bottom part of the shown button . if you press the bottom part of the button as shown in video it is to activate speed limit not adaptive cruise controll

Where is this front camera or radar located? Is it under the Toyota emblem? I have the top spec excel version and as well as pdc sensors it has the radar under the Toyota emblem and also to more sensors in the black front grille area

hi Toyota UK . how to activate back sensors toyota,or is active by self ? i mean is it active ? like when you going in reverse and car will stop by self if its to close to wall ? just never seen warning about reversing !

There should be an option in the Vehicle Customization Settings on the multimedia system or the multi-information display. From p.429 in my Yaris Hybrid manual: 1 Press the “MENU” button. 2 Select “Setup” on the “Menu” screen. 3 Select “Vehicle” on the “Setup” screen. 4 Select “Vehicle customization”. The relevant option is on manual p.436 - "Rear seat reminder".
