Watching so many clips, I concluded that there are three types of Nomicon lessons and ways in which Randy gets them wrong: -There's the usual cryptic lessons that Randy initially takes literally. -There's the straightforward lessons that Randy denies because he's stubborn (like, he's doing something wrong and is in denial about it) -And there's the super straightforward lessons that Randy completely overthinks (either because of denial or because he's trying to find a hidden message that isn't there). "Don't go into other people's houses" being a good example.

Oh yeah big time. Its arguably similar premise as well with villain who turn emotionally vulnerable people into monsters. But the difference is Randy actually gets mentored and is left as a solo hero who while in experienced is properly mentored and has to to learn his lessons or else face consequences. While ladybug does not. She is often never wrong because of the writers even when she clearly is and her action hardly have lasting consequences with some being outright rewards. The gain is rarely worth the loss? That sounds like the exact inverse of the phrase "The ends justify the means." That one means that no matter what happens, whatever loss that happens is worth whatever thing you gain from your decision. So the inverse of it is that if something you do could result in a huge loss of some kind, whether of lives, or something else, whatever gain you do get isn't worth it. Not quite sure if its saying to not be selfish or not. But it sounds like stuff.

@@frostwolf8994 Yep. For example, Spec Ops: The Line. In one moment of the game, Walker and his unit helps a CIA agent steal water from Dubai. Despite the fact they really don't trust the guy, and something seems fishy, they do it because in Walkers words, he's the only one not pointing a gun at them. Well, that and he thinks if they have the water, Konrad loses his power. However, the CIA agent really wanted the water to destroy it, killing everyone in the process. For the CIA agent, the gain of the cover-up was worth the loss of lives. But for everyone else, its just a tragic loss, and for Walker, forces a time limit for how long until they can try and fail at an evacuation when everyone hates them. It wasn't worth it at all.

I love how the Nomicon feels like an exasperated parental figure. Like, it never comes across as though the Nomicon hates Randy and is just forced to put up with him. Nope, it just feels like it's gathering up its infinite patience to deal with a dumb teenager who WILL get its advice eventually, but just not right now. Which is fantastic. And I love their golden moments together when you can see some of the Nomicon's attitude shine through, like the eye roll or even how it plays with Randy. Hell, I love it whenever the Nomicon actually punishes Randy by making him splat on the ground, because I actually noticed it tends to do that whenever Randy's being a dick. It's like the equivalent of smacking your kid in the back of their head when they're being rude, it's great.

I realized a few things but ima say three 1.Randy interrupt or realizes what’s said after carefully think about the situation at hand. 2.Thanks to the experience of the nomicon randy even without the mask seems to keep all his physical abilities. 3.Based on what is shown at 14:52 Randy may be the 86th ninja or there are itleast 100. Glad the Nomicon teaches such things especially to such a young Ninja

So "every four years" isn't very correct as there are exceptions for being a ninja. I suppose, the more knowledge ninjanomicon gathers from ninjas, the longer period of "being ninja" next generation has.

It’s wild that this tries so hard to sound like real ninja teachings which in some way they are but how is Randy supposed to be stealthy wearing black with orange accents and a scarf? I’ll give them credit though most of the tools he uses a ninja would actually use. Although things like the fire fist and bee ball are more fantastical versions of real ninja techniques.

I mean to be fair the suit is literal magic, one of the first lessons he learned was the art of concealment, which turns with actually invisible. If he really wanted to he could be invisible almost all the time really, but that just isn't his style and he probably wouldn't be that good at it.

It would really be better and more beneficial if the nomicon trained randy in the actual art of ninjutsu and numerous disciplines, like spiritual refinement, unarmed combat, tactics, escape, concealment, water training, and so on and so forth. Also, all of Randy’s weapons should be enchanted since his suit is too, and since they’re powered by magic, they should act as a blank slate for the rest of his supernatural abilities
