Watching so many clips, I concluded that there are three types of Nomicon lessons and ways in which Randy gets them wrong: -There's the usual cryptic lessons that Randy initially takes literally. -There's the straightforward lessons that Randy denies because he's stubborn (like, he's doing something wrong and is in denial about it) -And there's the super straightforward lessons that Randy completely overthinks (either because of denial or because he's trying to find a hidden message that isn't there). "Don't go into other people's houses" being a good example.

The gain is rarely worth the loss? That sounds like the exact inverse of the phrase "The ends justify the means." That one means that no matter what happens, whatever loss that happens is worth whatever thing you gain from your decision. So the inverse of it is that if something you do could result in a huge loss of some kind, whether of lives, or something else, whatever gain you do get isn't worth it. Not quite sure if its saying to not be selfish or not. But it sounds like stuff.

The nomicon itself could be a master of philosophy, it can probably contribute to any of the branches of philosophy like aesthetics, ethics, epistemology, logic, metaphysics, morality, politics, religion, science and social theory.

@@alexanderdixson9956 This show is set in a town, that was built upon the legacy of a legendary ninja with a magic suit, made to fight an evil sorcerer that wants to turn people into monsters through their misery. Hardly anything about the writing is realistic and is mostly for comedy’s sake, yet the ridiculous slang makes sense in the context of that world because it has a different culture than ours. You’re being silly, my guy. 🤭

To be fair, there are many shows that use the whole "school kid turned superhero" trope. RC9GN wasn't the first, and it definitely wasn't the last.
@Katlove6872 жыл бұрын
@@friskdacatarchival I think this was referring to the whole corrupting an object they hold dear and the Ninja breaking it to turn the person back to a person. The main point of MLB was the Akumas

The messages were cryptic and the show definitely wasn't meant for education, buuuut, the Nomicon truly did say very wise things and seeing Randy follow these lessons (even if he did it in the last minute) was funny. I remember my younger self trying to follow some of those lessons too, and it was sad to learn that there wasn't going to be a season 3 :/

It would really be better and more beneficial if the nomicon trained randy in the actual art of ninjutsu and numerous disciplines, like spiritual refinement, unarmed combat, tactics, escape, concealment, water training, and so on and so forth. Also, all of Randy’s weapons should be enchanted since his suit is too, and since they’re powered by magic, they should act as a blank slate for the rest of his supernatural abilities
