You could take that chambered terrarium and stick it inside another larger terrarium and then take all the corks out so the plants and moss start spilling out!

A month ago I found your videos. Today I have several terrariums. I can't stop. The terrarium bug is real lol. I have picked up so much from you and I have only lost a couple of plants that I started from the beginning. But they are all healthy and happy and loving the little worlds you helped me create. Thank You.

Could you do a video on remedies to common terrarium problems? I made my first one with isopods and it was doing fine, but I went away for a weekend and when I came back all the isopods were dead. I have no idea what caused this and some basic troubleshooting would be great! Love the channel!

We can only do so much to keep them looking how we want. Terrariums take on a life of their own and sometimes the imperfections are what make them beautiful.

After watching your videos for just a week, you got me hooked! I ended up making terrariums with my mom and we both loved how fun and relaxing it was to do it. After posting some of our pics online, friends messaged me and I think I’m going to be hosting a terrarium making party in the near future! Your videos really make terrarium building something easy and worthwhile to do and for years I thought it was too expensive and would take too much time. Keep on creating, educating, and inspiring!!

Woodlice are really cool, being crustaceans they have to keep their pleopodal lungs (which are on their legs) wet to be able to breathe. So it makes sense that they thrive in a terrarium! The females keep their eggs in a lil pouch (aptly named the marsupium) that they have to keep filled with water whilst the young mature and hatch. This makes it look like they're giving birth when the young emerge, they're also capable of asexual reproduction which is pretty cool. They might not be Armadillidium vulgare (though it is pretty likely) - you need to observe them while they're rolled up to be sure which species they are. It's interesting to note that their presence indicates the soil you have in that terrarium has a pretty high calcium carbonate content. They primarily like to eat decaying plant matter but they'll also feed on algae and lichens, they only really go for living plants when they're desperate, so if you see any algae build up leave it there for them to eat :D Man I love woodlice.

After watching a few of your videos, I went on a moss gathering expedition to a local forest. I spent a few hours collecting various types of moss and when I got them home I went to my small, seldom used back porch to wash some of the soil off the samples I had collected. That's when I discovered that several of the types of moss I had collected in the forest, were already growing in a shady area by my porch. I had just never looked for them before. Now I see moss and tiny plants that would look nice in a terrarium everywhere I go. Now I just have to cruise the second hand shops for some unique containers to make into mini moss habitats.

Hey Serpa, long time subscriber! I remember some time ago you mentioned the idea of redoing your intro series, I was wondering if you were still planning on doing that? If so I’d recommend making your new true beauty to replace the old massive terrarium you had, as that (for a new watcher) should this amazing large scale foggy terrarium that immediately let the viewer know that this is a pro. Also question- how do you handle all the extra moss and plants when not used in terrariums? Do they need a constant light source? Also an idea for a video just showing a medium terrarium with everything you’ve put in and where to get it and a price or link to show it’s easy to do and not expensive (maybe as a finale for your how to terrarium series) Anyways, just ideas I’ve had fumbling around for awhile, love your work, stay awesome bud!

Really great work, boss. Great to see your New vids and it must be a great feeling to inspire hundreds of thousands of people, Like me. I build my first terrarium for Valentine's day to give my wife and monitoring it for a few days. Therefore, i have 2 questions, i hope you answer em. 1) when i build a layer, i.use holes on a plastic bag like your DIY videos. The problem is ,i think holes arent frequent enough because gravels are pretty dry, and my terrarium looks steamy. Should i rebuild or is this a common thing? 2) springtails! There are not many sellers around where i live, so i must hunt or collectit some before cultivating it, so what is your suggestion? Bonus question: is using earthworms does the trick as springtails, or springtails is a must? Thanks for your answers, will be waiting for more inspiring work. A friend of yours from İstanbul, Turkey.
