What's the story?
We have nothing to our name, we need a house to stay in otherwise we're sleeping rough.
I have activated all the realistic mods I can find but more importantly set challenging and realistic rules to maximise the challenge and create a different style of farming simulator series
I'm going for super Realistic gameplay, well at least a good attempt at it. But remember as realistic as I can attempt, it is still a game after all

This series really appealed to me, so after watching episode 1, I started a realistic play-through as well. I chose Castelnaud as map and started living in a tent on the campsite this map has, paying the same rates as campsites around that area were charging last year. I'm now 115 hours and 126 contracts further and am still loving it. Will be harvesting my first arable field in 2 months. Most fun I've ever had playing FS22 by a long shot, all thanks to you! Now, I've been thinking about when I'd feel successful too, and right now I'm leaning towards not only owning the main farm on the map, but also having the stables that are included with it completely filled up with animals, and being able to feed them from my own grown crops, completely self-sustainable. I'd also like to be able to provide enough resources for all (or at least all unique) factories to keep them running for the whole of the year, but I'm not entirely sure about that, as that's not a very realistic thing to do or manage?

That sounds awesome, Jan. You know I find the biggest benefit of having a channel is for comments like this. It's such a refreshing way to play the game. It almost makes it feel like an entirely different game. I think the end game is about right for me. Its a fine line between keeping it interesting but not repetitive and boring 😀

Haha, I thought I was using it the wrong way around, haha. The back wheel never raised up, so it was just hard work either way 😅

Have you tried to refresh contracts? Sometimes FS need a little encouragement for them

Yeah, I've even tried pressing it multiple times, but it just never brings any up 🤔 I seem to remember it doing that before, so hopefully, there will be more in the next game month 😀

Since I'm using the Better Contracts mod, I've not ever seen it happen that there aren't any contracts. It does show a lot of contracts, but for realistic sake, you can roleplay that they are just listings that you can offer your service to, but they could decide to pick someone else or end up doing it on their own. I have put most of the settings to hard, as in, having to finish it by the end of the month, not being able to rent equipment unless I've done 2 contracts (and only old and small equipment, after 5 I go to medium and after 9 every type of equipment is fine. There are a lot of settings that can help making it realistic.
