Qs: Does leaving/quitting the game mid shiny hunt will make your hunt a waste? (like does it reset the counter of shiny pokémon chances?)

I caught my first shiny today and it was a Meowth lol had my phone on mute too so I’m disappointed I got a trash Mon as a first shiny. But Meowth that’s right!

My catching mon is an Alpha Breloom and I want to ask what’s a better ability for it? Should I keep Technician to power up its False Swipe or would Poison Heal be better?

Use poison heal for catching, a lvl 100 Breloom should be fine fswiping everything
