Dont expect it to be changed any time soon tbh, other missiles the Kfir carried are Python-3/-4 which are more or less AIM-9L/M equivalents

Defyn this plane had some scary missiles which is probably why gaijin hasn’t added them, from the python 3 to 5 which the python 3 is equivalent to the aim9L if not better. It was able to carry aim9s so gaijin could give it aim9Js and the radar missiles were the rafael derby which cannot be added yet since the derby is a long range missiles that can kill targets at 100 kilometers, it has an ECCM that allows it to ignore ECM, lock on after being launched ability, which would be simply guaranteed kills from take off in game.

I´m not really sure why the kfir is at 11.3 while the JA 37 is still at 11.0. I would say that, currently, the viggen is more capable than the kfir, at least in air-to-air combat. The viggen should go up in BR.

When you play the F4J could you go into the aim7fs a little, compared to the aim7e2 they seem very situational iin terms of range maybe I'm using them poorly. People seemed to figure out how to evade them relatively soon, almost like the aim9g syndrome of making it lead and then reversing the turn. I'm almost more comfortable with 4 aim7e2 over 4 aim7f

Having struggled with this plane for a bit the last couple of weeks it seems to have clicked. Really good in a merge, really good at altitude against f14s. Sneaky aim 9g shots from 6km plus from high altitude catch loads of people out.

The whole thing with Terrain flying is it in my eyes it is so undervalued at the moment. Half the RB maps are massive fields with an airfield at each side. Terrain rewards pilots who can think on the spot, and if i'm honest i do want to see more of that.

Considering that the 1000s downed jet is approaching on Mirage IIIE and that Python 3s might be added down the road...

DEFYN thx for ur review! Im new to defa gun, may I ask which bullets fit in defa gun better? AP or HE rounds? I tryed with ful HE but it gets normally only crit or luckly with fire but its hard to get instant kill (like NR30)

I loved the mirageIIIc before it got power crept. I honestly never had a problem with aiming the guns in regards to the plane flopping about. Yeah, getting lead and all that can be a pain with how low velocity the guns are, but pointing the aircraft where I’m aiming was never a problem. After a lot of playing, I was able to consistently get 1km kills with the DEFAs. Not anymore though, I’ve hardly touched that plane in a while because it just lacks the thrust to keep up these days. Unfortunately for people out there who want high tier French to get different guns… even the Mirage 2000 uses DEFAs.

In terms of missiles the kfir could carry Python 3s which from what ive read are slightly better AIM-9Ls, but Gaijin has made it very clear that they don't want AIM9-Ls too be added yet. Also you could in theory radar notch to make up for the lack of countermeasures, but that would make you vulnerable to IR missiles. Overall i think you're right in that it takes a lot of skill to play this plane, but from playing myself i don't feel like its that bad.

Why do I feel like the new top tier jets are gonna get some really good all aspect missiles when the time is right

It does seem this plane doesn't have any radar missiles in real life, although it has some very nice IR missiles they could give it. They are off bore sight missiles, so would give it something a bit unique, like the Harrier GR1.

I love the mirage - will I love this?

Would you say, as someone who plays the Mirage IIIC relentlessly and has a decent positive KD, would do just fine in the Kfir? I am kind of over getting up-tiered to 11.0 without flares anyway and unless they Mirage 2000 is out soon I need something. Also why no mixed flares?

The next upgrade they could add would be the python 3 missile, problem with that though is it's all aspect with up to 15km travel distance while I believe comparing to the magic in agility so it would be kinda cracked for the game currently unless gaijiggles give an artificial nerf

Ya the IAI Kfir C.2 has AIM Sidewinders or Python 3/4/5 AAM's 2x Shrike ARMs and AGM-65 Mavericks ASM or AGM what ever u want to call it. Can carry unguided missiles RAFAEL Derby and Anti ship missiles 1x GABRIEL Mk.3

The reason this only gets Aim-9Gs is because every other missiles it could get would break the game. It carries Aim-9M or Python 3 irl, the 9M being a upgraded 9L, and the Python 3 kind of a longer range, all aspect Magic.

Use radar coupled with Aim-9G. Seeker picks up target faster, it will go after designated target easier, and it won't go after flares so much. Also, don't use 9Gs in 1,5km range, they have so much range and fuel its better for them to let them speed up
