I think that Kim might be mixed Korean and Vietnam mostly because Kim is the most common korean name and Nguyen is the most common Vietnam surname.

She was originally going to be Russian because both her name and surname is indeed from Slavic countries. Due to the situation with Russia and Ukraine, MGA had to change her nationality to avoid any controversy. It still makes one sense why they made her Dutch? They could had made her Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, or any other Slavic nationality.
