To be fair, Sammy did die twice in the original. I like to think he just reincarnates as a Searcher whenever he dies (like that easter egg in chapter 5), goes grab his mask and slowly develops into Sammy again.

Kind of weird how Sammy doesn't sound demonic enough. The reason he doesn't want to die was because he slowly becomes more worse and worse (in each reincarnation). His voice will become more demonic, his appearance will become more worse, and so on.

I love how the subject numbers are the release dates of the contained character's chapters. Sammy's number is 418 (April 18th, chapter 2s release date) and Alice's is 928 (September 28th, chapter 2's release date)

For all of those questioning why he died so quickly in the scene, It's because Audrey had to restart the cycle. So some of them had to die before that happened. For example when Alice Angel dies at the hands of Allison as in the previous game. Just as Sammy must have died too before Henry restarted the cycle. Those little details of murder were necessary before putting The End on the projector that Henry finds. My final conclusion is that Sammy HAD to die to establish the Cycle.

I am a bit disappointed that Sammy didn't get a bigger role, as he is my favourite character by a landslide and he was awesome in the first game... but honestly, it wasn't that bad. When we opened up one of the Keeper's cells and Sammy was there miserably playing on his banjo... oh man I felt so sad for him 😭 I thought that was a good scene, though. But then at the end, oh why 😭😭 he did not deserve that, but I have to admit I laughed when he just stopped over dead. I shouldn't have, he doesn't deserve this. He did nothing wrong in his life, he just got some major bad luck.

It’s been a year since dark revival came out and this definitely made me like Sammy even more. Back then when chapter 2 and 5 were released, I loved seeing him in action, but I also feel bad for him for the fact that he just wanted to be free from the ink in the second chapter and gets attacked, gets (apparently survives) killed in chapter 5 and now gets shot even tho he didn’t do anything. Him and The Projectionist are my favorite characters and seeing them making cameos was awesome.

I noticed that Sammy is playing in the banjo the Song "Can i Get an Amen" from CG5 , and the word "Can i get an amen" is from an audiolog of Sammy on Chapter 2 of Bendy and the Ink Machine , you'll notice it of you put it in 1.75X speed
