Thanks for the close-ups of those Slinky FEET... I absolutely love those amazing, scaly tools armed with huge talons ! This extended session with Slinky, using all his senses and all of his habitat......was wonderful !

Yo Kenan, im from malaysia and we have asian water monitors everywhere like literally everywhere. I go fish at a small man made pond/lake in a park in the middle of 3 big shopping malls and there are easily 20-25 water monitors swimming in the water or on the banks at one time. From 12 inch babies to 3ft long ones. They dig holes in the side of the pond and sleep in there then they go into the water and dive down and swim around presumably looking for food. I will watch the bubble trail to see where they pop up. Even in the city centre you will see them in drains, crossing the roads, digging through the trash cans behind markets looking for chicken guts or fish guts.

Slinky really is the star of the channel honestly. He’s the reason I started watching you years ago now, when you built the little pond in his original enclosure. He was so happy with that little pond you built him. To see him now is this amazing enclosure is so wonderful. Before watching Slinky, I was aware of monitor lizards but didn’t really understand just how intelligent they are. Slinky has such a unique personality, the intelligence is so evident. When he nearly died, I watched that video with tears streaming hoping he’d make it. Was so happy he did. He’s an amazing animal ambassador, a truly wonderful individual. His original owners must be so proud of him living his best life at the kamp.

Slinky is what brought me to your channel and Fred really sunk the hook and kept me watching. I love when people who have experience share their love and passion. I see that same passion when you educate people about the amazing reptiles you keep and advocate for quality environments over quantity of animals. Matt is a great addition and really seems to becoming a huge asset not only in his filming/editing but helping with your ever changing landscape at the camp. Keep up the good work the videos have been fantastic.

From the minute they come out of their eggs, they NEVER lose that sweet sweet face! I never thought about any lizard begin "cute"... Monitor lizards are cute! Even their big cousins The Komodo Dragons have that cute face. It's their eyes. They have such wise intelligent eyes. ❤❤

I love slinky so much. He is so calm and confident I live to se him walk around. Oo and if he eats, o man he acts like it's candy. One Bute and gone. Even a big meal he is quick at swallowing that. What a animal. ❤❤❤❤

Slinky’s amazing he’s the first lizard I ever named one of my lizards after :) I currently have 2 Timon Lepidus-the jewelled lacerta 20 zootoca vivipara a native lizard to the uk a breeding pair of lacerta bilineata-European green lizards I have 28 fire salamanders 28 rana temporaria-common frog I have bufo bufo-common toads European green toads-bufo virvirdis :) 15 fish 10 turtles and some other species :) absolutely love you’re kamp kenan keep up the amazing work much love from the uk 😊

That frozen Slinky video was how I found you. I cried along with you when it looked like he was dead, then laughed & cried tears of joy when he started coming around. He has been my favorite lizard on here ever since, but I my & Bobby were a close second. I cried my eyes out when you lost Bobby to the Rainbow Bridge. I also remember Slinky catching & eating that water snake, too! Awesome how he hunted it down & killed it, but I felt sorry for the snake being killed & eaten, too. Keep these videos of Slinky coming!

You know we love the Slinkster! He's the best Water Monitor ever!!! (except, of course, when he smacks you. 😂 Are you OK, Matt?) I was absolutely sobbing and so upset when you thought you lost him, that my husband came into the room to see what was wrong with me! And I laughed my butt off watching you try and save that wild snake, because it was a completely futile effort! Oh, and how about the time he had to get an x-ray to confirm he did indeed eat your snake! That was actually a bit horrific! So many great Slinky moments! ❤

Thanks a lot for sharing this! I like Slinky very much too (but also all the other animals featured on your channel) - he's such an amazing critter! I appreciate even more that you let him live a fairly natural life, meaning, not exploiting him by forcing him, like some kind of a circus animal, to do some silly tricks, without which he wouldn't get his food. I can imagine how tempting that could feel for some if they had something magnificent like Slinky in their menagerie.

I'm a native Floridian and have loved reptiles all my life, indigo snakes,all the turtles & tortoises, gators and even the venomous locals but, Slinky is the coolest EVER!

Kenan, the wild monitors in Thailand are amazing, I stayed at a hotel in Hua Hin, and we had two that I spotted, one 6 foot plus in the lotus pond next to the hotel which I would watch for hours, and a second about Inky's size which would swim in the pool to reach the trees to hunt for chicks and eggs, which were planted on islands in the middle. The smaller one had no fear of humans and I would swim with it (keeping a respectful distance) as the rest of the guests screamed with horror. lol. I do hope to go back to Thailand one day and visit the park in Bangcock, before heading to Phuket to do some herping.

Slinky is so freaking cool!!! I’ve seen other videos with monitors and my view prior to this grouped them with Komodo dragons. I’m fascinated with Komodo dragons / from a fenced distance. You have obviously worked with this guy to develop a beautiful relationship. Congratulations He’s beautiful!

In Thailand, that place name is lumpini park, which is a City Park in the middle of bangkok. You will find so many Slinky over there.

I love slinky so much and when he almost died I cried right along with you, my heart was breaking ! His survival was so amazing and I’m sure a cheer went up around the world for his survival ! ❤❤❤❤❤. I would love to see you hang up a big turkey and let him work at it with his claws and teeth 🦷 - it would be amazing to see the big turkey instead of the small chicken you did before !!!

I went to the park in Bangkok and it was such an amazing experience, I witnessed a water monitor hunt and eat a Raven and the lizards were everywhere! You should definitely try to go !

Happy Father's Day Kenan! You've got amazing children!! Much better than the human species of off- spring!! I realized just now how much you are in a squat position when you're on camera in Slinky-Town!😊 You're like a rice picker from the other side of world! You have to be very flexible and healthy to maintain that position for very long. I bet along with biking, you do Yoga, am I right? Ya gotta be a healthy Dad to keep up with Slinky and a all of his reptile brothers and sisters

Nice video! advise get those papyrus out of the bottom pond. You have filtration enough near the biofalls more upstream. These plants grow like crazy and it limits the swimming space of Slinky
