I just crushed the Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Midnight Library and Klara and the Sun, cannot recommend them enough!! I haven't loved books like i have loved these in SO long.

the nightbitch! i was really enjoying it, but i had to dnf it around the 50% mark. the book is so successful at making you feel just as frustrated and angry as the main character about her struggles with the identity of mother, wife, and individual; however, it was SO successful that it made feel me legitimately furious while i was reading the book. i started to dread picking it up because i knew it would put me in a bad mood. i'm holding onto it so i can hopefully revisit it in the future. i'm excited to hear you talk about it!

For me, I bought around 20 books and had a big ass fight with my mom because my bookshelves were full, had to unhaul 20 books (which literally made me cry, but my mom was like "either this or return the new books"). I'm still recovering but I read some good books (like the starless sea, pretty girls, seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo) 😃

I just binged the Captive Prince trilogy and it is superior!! It has similar compulsive readability to the Foxhole Court imo and the characters are legit Patroclus and Achilles, switched!! The romance is a slow-burn true enemies-to-lovers with extremely satisfying payoff, but it's also more than that. It's incredibly well-written, the political intrigue is excellent, the sexual TENSION is insane, and the smut is some of the most tasteful I've ever read!! I highly recommend, I would love to see your experience through a vlog, maybe >.< The first book is the weakest, although truly intriguing and it only gets better with each book!

YES YES YES!!!!!!! I agree with everything you said. Captive Prince was truly enemies to lovers perfection. Not rivals, not "enemies" who hate each other because of a misunderstanding, actual ENEMIES on different sides of a war. All of those popular books/book series who claim to have enemies to lovers have nothing on captive prince in my humble opinion.

I’m a huge fan of the final girl troupe in horror! I loved My Best friends exorcism too! But final girl support group was a bit of a messy let down :(

I’m currently reading She Who Became the Sun and OMG Ellias you have to read it!!! It’s SO awesome (and the Chinese swears are quite authentic). It’s a historical fiction talking about desires and what people would do to achieve their “fate”. I’m one-third in and I already love it so much.

Do yourself a favor, return The Other Black Girl and get your money back. One of the worst books I’ve ever read, and a rare one-star for me. Not only horribly written but incredibly offensive. I’m literally embarrassed for the author and cannot believe this book was published.
