At one of the rental beach house I stayed at, there is a Hunter Summer Breeze way high up, and it just has on/off switch. I was able to change speed by standing on a stool, and using a broom and string to use as a chain reacher. I tied the string at the end of broom and made a loop that I could enclose by pulling the string. I inserted the loop to the chain (which does NOT have a pendant, just a short chain), and enclosed it and was able to change speeds for the video.
