@@janeriordan6228 they choose her because she has the mark of the leader demon. That mark attracts other demons to her and also human men. The brides need to have a guardian demon until they reach 16 and go to that school because without the guardian they will attract men who will try to abuse them. Usually brides have a guardian but Kanna didn't because her demon didn't want her to come to school, he was hoping she would die and he will never meet her. So she was abused her whole life, that's why she rarely speaks. I still wish they developer her personality better. All we know about her is that she has a tragic life and that's all. That's why i enjoyed the second and especially the third movie much more. The other two brides had interesting personality. Momoko in particular was very interesting because she was feisty, she had flaws, she was unlucky yet she kept fighting, made mistakes and tried to fix them.
