Victor and Nile are behind the wheel of the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe, an exclusive trim for the PHEV variant of this new generation mid-size SUV. How much is a Jeep Cherokee 2023 in Canada? This vehicle as optioned is just over $88k CAD, or about $75k USD. One major difference between the US-spec and Canadian-spec is the rear entertainment package, which doesn't come on the Trailhawk trim in the USA, but was optioned here for our vehicle. The Trailhawk is the off-road version of the Grand Cherokee, with Jeep's Quadra-Drive II 4x4 system available in ICE, hybrid, and EV modes, a two-speed transfer case, a 2.71:1 low range gear, a 47.4:1 crawl ratio, 6,000 lbs of towing capacity, blue accent recovery hooks, extra ground clearance, Quadra-lift air suspension, a rear eLSD, and more.
2024 brings only one change for the Trailhawk trim, the 18" black rims available as an option on the 2023 is now standard, so imagine the rims on this but all back.
Victor and Nile go over the technical specifications of this vehicle including the hybrid system, overall changes with this generation, and some of the reasons you'd want to consider this vehicle in the new market. One thing I noticed with mine, the fuel economy was listed as km per litre, not litres per 100km. That's why when driving in electric it's pegged to the right at 99. It affects the "total long term" fuel economy.

This one was definitely set to to L/100km. The Wrangler 4xe we drove after this did the same, I'm assuming it's giving a Litres Equivalent. Personally I don't like using that as a way to measure fuel economy, as electricity prices can vary.

$2.40 isn’t even 2 L of fuel. You guys are missing the point the reason for hybrids and electric vehicles is to stop emissions not save money. Saving money is a bonus. Come on if you’re gonna hug a tree no the tree.

It's ironic that most off road capable SUV will never be taken off road. 😢 People"just want to have"... Benz's G-wagon owners only drive Inn the city... At most owners whom raise this sov to 11' for e student snow storms... If there's different 9" of snow and you need eggs

It is pricey considering we just drove the 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e PHEV at $107,000 CAD with more range and way nicer interior/exterior.

@@miccijrfulDoesn’t matter. You have to earn 2 dollars to make 1 and you have to pay sales tax. We live in a terrible society. I would avoid falling into their debt traps with these junk cars.
