Awesome video . WOW Amazing. In 1976 , In Brooklyn , there was just 3 Gassers , most were very raw and crude ! Truck front solid axle, no bumper . Ladder bars that were hand made and a chassis that had more welds and plates everywhere ! The battery’s were in the trunk , 2 big batteries tied together and held down . The interior was 2 seats nothing else , steel plates were welded to the floor , the dash and gauges looked like Swiss cheese. As I recall only an oil temp and speedometer were on the hood of the car , outside . Every thing from the interior was gone !!! Open headers or cherry bombs . These were the cars me and my friends dreamed about. When the men who owned these machines wanted to start them up , all the kids would help to push the car in reverse and the driver would pop the clutch!!!! One or 2 kids would have to go to the corner to stop the traffic from coming down the block . Not much of a wiring harness was used . It was a glorious time to own a Gasser . I am sure all those guys are dead and gone . But if they could have lived to see what is being built and custom made today , it would have killed them . RIP to those real street racers . Mike .

Nice video. I know those fancy paint jobs cost lots $. But i really prefer the patina paint, down n dirty ready to drag race look! That 1st one I'd be afraid to get dirty! LOL
