Did you have to move due to the massive crime spike after desegregation? My family had to flee London in the 70's due to Windrush. Harsh times for many. A shame it will be another decade or so before we can talk about it openly without being called names.

@dylanhoss3387
@dylanhoss3387 5 ай бұрын
@@DockClock-rp2romassive crime spike, or massive arrest spike? Those don’t mean the same thing. Much of the violent crime spikes were the result of more lynchings happening due to black people suddenly being around folks who wanted them dead. I see 0 evidence that crime in the UK significantly rose after Windrush, seems to me you and your family were simply fleeing from the sudden influx of black people rather than any actual threat to yourselves, which explains your obvious passive aggression.
@DockClock-rp2ro
@DockClock-rp2ro 5 ай бұрын
@@dylanhoss3387 Crime spike. The one that persists today. Lynchings were largely a result of mob-justice, due to the poor policing at the time, from having insufficient resources. Lynchings were largely committed on violent criminals. Evidence (which is still documented today) shows this to be the case. These were not exclusive to black people, and not usually solely racially motivated. Black people also participated in these. Whilst still not ideal, this is a common form of behaviour when the rule of law is not upheld. You use circular reasoning. You claim that white Europeans were irrational in their flight. My Grandfather was a driver on London transport, and was threatened with a knife twice. My Father was intended to go to a school in the area, in which a young man at the school was killed by a gang in a racially motivated attack. The evidence of increased violent crime in the 70's can be found using data on proportional increase, and with the subsequent "London Overspill" that flooded out into the surrounding areas. Regardless of the crime, even if ethnocentrism was the main motivating factor, this is not an invalid consideration on the part of those fleeing. Groups do have a right to self-determination. Whilst I personally take no issue with mixed societies (in the event that trait distributions are managed to reduce crime, and citizens are not ethnocentric), many people are motivated by In-Group/Out-Group dynamics as a part of human nature. We can only work around it -- moreso than we can hope to change it. This is a problem I hope we can solve as a collective, but if not the problem with solve itself. Although, I really don't want that to be the case.

Freedom of speech? The constitutional law that the GOVERNMENT can’t create any LAWS or arrest you in an attempt to hinder your right to say what you want to say? Weird that you think that applies here to non-governmental agencies.

There are shallow virtue signaling people in our society (99.9% of people) and people with actual depth and backbones. Chappelle is the later.

Dave Chappell is a comedian but a virtuous man who challenges us to engage in social change but in an authentic way based on truth and not superficial actions that will lead nowhere. Any effort to change minds is lost when you prioritize the external for the internal.
