Some serious work went into this video, thanks! I have never been a big balm person, I am a more hardcore lipstick one, but lately I am more interested in them. I received a Dior lip glow at Christmas, and I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. It's number 01 I think, so the pigment is really low, but I like that it reacts to my PH and how it makes my lips look. I will be looking into the ByTerry ones when they'll have a sale. Since you mention your dry lips, I am going to suggest a super inexpensive product which I found to be a game changer for my lips: Prreti - Honey & Berry Lip Sleeping Mask. Try it, maybe!

Holy moly who knew there were so many balm like “lipsticks”! I have to say I shamelessly have a thing for the Hermés limited edition lipsticks. I have picked up two of the current ones and I really want to get the last one, the beige nonexistent one 😅😂 I am shameful and really want that pretty packaging!!! Oh Jen, your arm looks exactly like the Tarte Juicy palette, 😂😂😂😂😂 Thankfully, the Hermes lipsticks don't impress me that much as I'd be left very disappointed - I'm never going to pay $72 for a lippy! I mean, two drinks, four lip licks and a peck on hubby's cheek, that's it gone!! I'm trying hard not to buy any more lip product (exception made for the new ND lip penciks). But I do want to try some of the YSL and at least one from By Terry - afted their Rose de collection, where the lip products had a strange rose smell and taste, I was put off from buying anymore of their lippies - I think it's only fair that I give them another "look" 😉. This was/is an awesome vid. Exceptionally detailed information and the swatches are very, very helpful. Thank you so much. I haven't tried all the new ones, but of the ones I have tried, my favorites are the D&G as they are one of the most hydrating, the YSL for the shine & color and the new LE Hermes... love the shades, formula and of course the refillable packaging!

What a marathon! Thanks so much for the summary and swatches of the balm/sheer lip colors, which is my favorite formula. I’ve gotten three of the Sisley and like them very much, three Chanel with great colors, but which I find somewhat drying and more Chantecaille than I can count. To me, the Sisley and Chantecaille are very similar, lovely colors, comfortable to wear and hydrating. They’re definitely my favorites. No real surprise there for me as, if I’m going to wear a lipstick, I prefer the Sisley satin formula

The Hermes lipsticks def have fragrance (unfortunately)

I found the Chanel extremely drying on my lips. The balm sat on the surface and eventually exaggerated all the lines of my lips. Sad.
