I think Ray Stevenson was supposed to look weird in civilian clothes. Part of Punisher's character is how he never felt right in civilian life. So having him look out of place when not in combat gear was a good move. EDIT: Colin Salmon was in Arrow. He did a great job there. Also, the cop was played by Dash Mihok. He's currently in the show Ray Donovan with Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight. It's an incredible show with some unexpected actors making appearances. Punisher: War Zone is also based mostly on Punisher MAX...which I'd love to see you guys do some episodes on.

Love the crossover. Bring on more. Punisher is better when he's clever to some degree. If he's just a dumb blunt object it maked no sense to me. If he has been killing criminals for years and approached them with no real plan how is he not dead within the first year of being Punisher. Seeing as how not all criminals are complete idiots and some of them are even clever.

I'm one of the few people who insist that the Dolph Lungdren _Punisher_ is the best of the three cinematic Punishers. Yeah, if they had removed the names "Punisher" and "Frank Castle" from the film, no one would ever make the connection between the two, but the screenwriter understood the nihilist mentality of _Circle of Blood_ I'm also one of the few people who insist the Thomas Jane _Punisher_ is the worst - and when I say worst, I mean by a long shot. That hurts to say, because I like Thomas Jane in pretty-much everything else (go see _Stander_ its great). Its a basic revenge story (which is _not_ the Punisher's motivation), and not even a good revenge story. While its almost an adaptation of _Welcome Back Frank_ (with some elements of _War Zone_ ) it never delivers on any of the stuff it was adapting. The Ray Stevenson _Punisher_ is good for fans of the comics circa 1992 (so I'm actually quite fond of it), but otherwise its very-much direct-to-DVD quality. I do really like that Stevenson looks a lot like Frank Castle as depicted by Tim Bradstreet

Saw Punisher War Zone in theaters with a group of friends, knowing absolutely nothing about it. So many big comic movies that year between Dark Knight, Iron Man, and to a lesser extent, Incredible Hulk, that this one got lost in the cracks. And ya know what? It was one of the most fun theatrical experiences I ever had. Nonstop laughs from start to finish. It might be my favorite comic movie from that year lol.

If you dial Jigsaws over the top performance back about 30 percent Warzone is a great Punisher movie. Lexi Alexander did a commendable job considering she had to fight the studio to present the Punisher comic accurate. For anyone that hasn't heard it check out the How Did This Get Made podcast she was on for the movie. Great insights.

Didn't expect to watch to the end but this was great. I have actually never watched any of those movies.

I've probably caught the 2004 Punisher movie on TV a million times in my life. I have never seen the beginning of it. I think one time I saw his wife and son die but that's it. Every other time Frank is already the Punisher.

This was great. Hopefully one day we will see Sal on Best of the worst.

Is Jack Packard replacing Caped Joel?

Ray Stevenson looked the most like the classic comic book Punisher to me, at least in terms of his facial features, hair, size, and the ever present scowl. It would have been nice to see James Wan circa Death Sentence make a Punisher film as that's the last vigilante film that actually got the entire 70's/80's vigilante feel down pat (aside from Gran Turino, but that's a different sort of vigilante film; Taken had a cold vigilante hero but the direction was more modern).

Each director does his/her own interpretation of the script they are given (in addition to changes that the producers usually demand). Regarding the job of the director, you can hand a script to, let's say, Christopher Nolan and get something worthwhile out of it, or you can offer that same story to Uwe Boll and, as a guaranteed consequence, receive trash. If you ask me, there is absolutely no doubt that Joss Whedon's script for Alien: Resurrection could have been turned into a good movie. I say that because I'm convinced that a good director can turn absolutely any script into an entertaining viewing experience, if given the necessary freedom, production team and *appropriate* budget. Obviously it doesn't mean that a good director will always create good movies, though.

Gotta give a big thanks to Sal. Kept shouting out RLM and I finally broke down and watch. I've watched a ton of the back catalogue and and still really digging their content. Not to mention Jack is the lead up to one of my favorite internet moment ever ( the Christmas BotW freak out was just so unexpected and hilarious!).

My huge problem with the Jane Punisher is that his motivations were wrong as was his operating style. The fake-out almost torture scene showed he lacked the balls of Castle and the way he mostly sets everyone up against each other is more Count of Monte Cristo than Punisher.

Please bring this guy back for more
