The G87 M2 has been one of the biggest controversies from BMW following the G80 M3. When it first came out, the media and many others bashed the predecessor of the F87 M2. In this video, we meet Chris and his G87 M2 and how he has transitioned from F87 M2 to G80 M3 to ultimately G87 M2.

G87 M2 has always looked good to me. I don't understand the hate for it. The boxy styling is so modern and aggressive, but it's not overdone and I feel like it will look good well into the future. They also kept the grill small, which keeps it in line with a good chunk of past BMWs. It also packs a punch being so small and having that engine. I don't think the base model (non-M) looks good though. The boxy kit really makes it.

nice build! I actually did the same thing going from a g80 xdrive to a g87 6 spd bc I wanted a more fun weekender that I felt more comfortable moding (I tend to shy away from doing heavy mods on my dailies). both great cars and the g80 xdrive might be the best daily/1 car garage.

Couldn't agree more about the respect these cars command. Also +1 on the lasers, buckets are situational and if I had to do it again I wouldn't get the carbon package. The reality is you're probably going to buy additional carbon and it's cheaper to not get the package and spend that cash on a full carbon body kit.

Yeah I can see why a lot of people go to the shop. They do amazing work. The facility is very impressive. Hope to see you one day at the events. Will be in New Jersey at New Jersey Motorsports Park on October 13th for the invasion of elite tuner

You can get very easily 500whp on the s55 without spending much money at all. About 580whp if you want to run e85

This car only Looks good in black. Idk what BMW has been smoking 😂. The G80/82 have grown on me but still certain colors on that car arent it.

It's not for everyone but I respect people's decisions on how they modify their cars. Plus he tracks his car. The added downforce helps out.

@7:12 Man.... my biggest pet peeve is those who claim they "race" It's not racing unless you're actively competing against other drivers for the podium.. You're just a HPDE/Track enthusiast... It just seems like "Yeah I RACE as a hobby" to look cool in the eyes of those who never ran on the track..Cringe man

Hey brotha - I agree, racing is when you’re TAing or W2W. But to say I’m claiming to race is a stretch. I’d love for you to provide feedback if you’re seasoned, seriously I’m open to it. I’m documenting my track days, sim training & 3rd racing school on IG and TikTok the summer. The steps it takes to get race ready, I suppose. I think the community should be open to people enjoying whatever racing suits them… more accessible that way 👊🏽

Must have when I bought my BSM 6spd G87 M2 was Carbon roof, premium package(for the headlights and HUD), carbon interior trim and shadow package for the headlights. I wished BMW offered the laser lights and more wheel options on the M2.
