I recommend checking if Amazon still allows you to buy yourself a KU gift subscription (a6, 12 or 24 month gift subscription options (check before you do this) or ask for it a gift. It saves money. I bought myself a 24 month Kindle Unlimited gift subscription lowering my monthly cost to $7.19 (US) versus the regular monthly cost versus the regular monthly price of $11.99 plus tax.
