No, he asked a simple typical question that always sounds like "you came here with certain goals/expectations, how do you feel about the season so far?" That same question every player and coach gets if you start losing. And his answer was childish. As Shaq said, it was a bad answer because all players should be playing to win a championship and have their jersey hanging from the rafters, particularly if you are the kind of famous player Westbrook has been. He made himself look petty and ignorant.

That big market makes a difference. I remember as a Suns fan, we were never on National TV when Steve left. Only in the games where they had the hardwood classics night or noche latina. Lakers on the other hand stinked, but had all the games including the Christmas game against the Miami Heatles back in 2013. Even if the lakers have a Nick Young , Kendall Marshall, Chris Kaman, washed up Steve Nash, Jodie Meeks, and an injured Mamba 😭,they are still being talked about and broadcasted on National Television. Man Kobe was still magical tho.

I agree, any points from other players are literally empty calories. No team has ever lost by scoring 0 points, so someone has to score throughout the game; what matters is when they are scored and what impact they have. I totally disagree with Kenny's thought about AD would make them a 4 seed and any team he would be on would be in the playoffs. I'm a died hard Celtics fan and I remember saying when the talk was the Celtics trading Tatum for him prior to him going to L.A. that I wouldn't want him because despite how talented he was it didn't translate to wins. If we remember his last year in New Orleans he was thought of as a top ten possibly a top five player and he played with Julius Randle who was averaging 20 points and 9 boards and Jrue Holliday and the Pelicans didn't even sniff the playoffs as a matter of fact the ended up getting the number one pick. The Clippers that same year was led by Patrick Beverley and Montrez Harrell made the playoffs and played the two defending Champions hard in the first round. I'm sorry but if you're a top ten player with two very good players along side of there is no way your team should of been at the bottom of the standings.

Love Shaq's comment - nobody is mad. You should be mad about losing. And as he also pointed out, you should have expectations and be honest that they have not been met. If not, then why are you a pro player?

Kenny has that short term memory. When AD was on the pelicans, they were not “significantly in the playoffs” and neither would Houston be if you put a healthy AD on that team as it is currently constructed.

@Lov Mir AD played 7 seasons with Pelicans and only made the playoffs twice. 2014-2015 and 2017-2018. They got past the 1st round in 2017-18 and lost. In 2017-2018, AD had Cousins who was averaging 25ppg and Jrue averaging 19ppg. In 2014-2015 he had Evans, Gordon Anderson and Jrue. With out those guys AD wouldn't have made the playoffs. Without Lebron, AD can't take the Lakers to the playoffs. Lakers need both AD and Lebron to make the playoffs.
