Agreed because this is one of the few channels where he mentions level matching to test the clarity of the speaker. What most people don't understand is you set a speaker at 50% based on your volume control the problem with this is if a particular company sets their product to play a perceived 1-2 db louder then it fools most people into thinking that product is better when it isn't. A particular company can fool many a fool by making their speakers play louder than the competition at 50% of the input source (fooling many into thinking this is being "fair and equal") but as it's played louder they can use an eq to filter certain freqs (like bass) while playing the higher freq clearer making a person perceive it louder thinner and most inexperienced people will initially think it's better to only after listening to a better product which doesn't have eq'd freqs having a more honest sound. I'll admit unless the person mentions level matching I just listen to their reviews casually not technically and take their input as looking for a better reviewer who in my opinion knows what they're talking about. I want reproduction, as per the artist who mixed and performed made it sound, not how some poor products poor attempt of reproduction.

first time i got free speakers, i was happy enough for that 👅 yeah maxsound plus is the class act here.

i have a chance to get a Masound Plus and i have recently just fallen in love with the GO ... if the MS PLus does the same thing as I have experienced before I may not be able to pass the deal up. Basically what i mean is I loved the Surf (The GO's little brother so to speak) ... if the improvements to the MS PLus versus the Go is as good as the Surf to the GO is .... well then Tribit's only issue for me is each one higher in models .. is knocking the previous one out of the "My favorite" spot. lol

How do you use it as a guitar amp?

@@KenSpears313 if your using a guitar with an active pickup just get a 1/4 mono to 1/8 TRS cable and plug directly into the AUX-IN on back of the speaker. Be careful with the volume (turn it up gradually) because it will get loud. You can connect any effect pedal, mixer, or headphone amp to do the same thing with any guitar...Guitar>Pedal>Tribit... Actually sounds better this way because you can get stereo output and effects. Also with a pedal (or mixer) as a buffer the DSP circuit in the speaker wont have as much attack lag or low volume breakup. Connected either way, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the MaxSound Plus as a ultra-mini amp. I mean, 24 Watts, portable, good bass, and tiny in size when compared with any actual guitar battery powered amplifier. And for the price you wont find any cheaper & compact way to jam your guitar with full range tone.

thats a problem you cant, i put a small sticker on mine. note once paired only the master will then connect to your device. off the top of my head i think its master thats left.

@@alanrossreviews yes the master is left, but I'll get back to this after i get the stormbox, i have a soundcore flare the one that connects to the phone is left. we can use Poweramp to play one channel and mute the other, go left only or right only.

You have to have a woofer face on to be less muffled, you notice it an a b comparison but less so when played on its own.

are you going to be moving around or listening on axis? maxsound plus is best for me but for dispersion stormbox will win out and will be suited to corner placement if you are after bass enhancement.

i made a mistake in this vid, i said 2 stormboxes played stereo but actually they only play party mode, if thats a deal breaker.

battery claims are quite meaningless, louder and more bass will mean shorter battery life, its just how it is.

How many hours live Stormbox at 100%vol?

@@mowglimowgli4971 I actually returned it battery is not very good max vol under 5 hours. I used it riding bike so usually vol is at least 75%. JBL flip 5 is my new portable speaker much louder and better battery!

better for imaging not better for accuracy. binaural picks up all the room acoustics, unless your room is identical to mine it colours the sound. So this assumption now held by many that binaural is about accuracy of frequency response is a fallacy. Yes it is the best way to hear imaging and instrument separation but is very slanted towards room acoustics. I have made a conscious decision at this point to favour accuracy over imaging. binaural also requires headphones for playback whereas my recordings do not. Youre welcome 😛 your question was answered witht he max test, did you watch it? your answer depends on whether you will listen on or off axis. the stormbox will favour walkaround sound but strictly speaking the max sound goes louder.

the problem is once you starting pairing bluetooth speakers it adds more delay which is fine if you can adjust for it (audio sync delay) but otherwise not so good. i wouldnt say any of them were good for movies where deep bass is the big deal. i would be looking at something bigger or stick with headphones?

I honestly don't get how Bose is considered a reputable company or how some people think their speakers are any good. We had one at work that was used in a private training room but had to be replaced due to the lack of clarity in the mids (this wasn't just me, but a few co-workers too) which they turned around replacing it with a second Bose with similar problems. In the end, someone went and found in the storeroom an ancient Harmon Kardon sub sat which sounds leap and bounds better at all range and all volumes. The Bose speakers made the dialog in the mids dialog so muddled to the point it was distracting, it has that distinct "Bose sound" which to me is awful but then I do use better than average speakers (studio monitors and my portable bt speaker is the UE boom 2) so I have a minimal expectation to sound first of which is clear speaking dialog.

It was recalled due to fire hazard but I couldn't return it, I just removed the battery and use it in a safer area. And again, a gift from my generous brother. last was the charge 3 on sale for 50% off, not for audiophiles but it's the most affordable will known brand as of this time. The Denon enavaya was the best purchase I had so far.. if I hadn't found out about the battery issue. The soundcore motion plus is sadly, still not available despite Anker having a store here in our country. Saw some B&O speakers like the P2, A1 and Beolit 17. But couldn't afford it right now, It's quite expensive here in the Philippines!

​@@halfcrazyluv1if you really want to dip your toe into the audiophile world without spending big money, get a few different pairs of ChiFi IEMs and dongle DACs (that use different chips) to have fun with different sounds and start seeing what you like. It's amazing what you can get for $150 these days. Or get a legit desktop headphone/amp setup if you're willing to spend a little more. I use a Schiit Modi with my high end stereo. Doesn't take much money for a decent DAC these days and spending more doesn't give a lot IMO. Money is better spent on the actual amplification and speakers.

the maxsound plus is the better for option for more serious listening. stormbox if you are moving around.

I ordered 2. Wasn't expecting stereo so after reading these comments I'm not surprised. I want 2 speakers just because it sounds better to me. Stereo would have been better but for the price I can live with it. 109 bucks from tribit website. A few dollars cheaper than on Amazon. Now Amazon does offer a bundle but it's 1. Black and 1. Blue speaker. But like I said it was cheaper through Tribit. I have 2 xsound go speakers and they sound great. So I figure I can't go wrong.

Yep, I've had similar issues too.. but with KZfaq vids, like such review. Then I've tried to update firmware, and it helped somehow in a while. But recently I've bought 2 Stormbox speakers.. and almost forgot about Maxsound+ ! 😉

well it depends on the power draw of that speaker, the a1 is 60 watts.
