Very unique player, as a midfielder physically a beast, great passing range, could head the ball as good as the best strikers, and an absolute cannon of a shot with both feet.

He was my dad's favorite player. Wathing the legendary 2006 world cup with ballack leading the german side that lost in heartbreaking fashion in the semis to the italians were the most precious memory i had as a football fan

Everybody used to talk about Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, I genuinely believe Michael Ballack was better than all of them, for both club and country and he does not get enough credit for what a fantastic player he was.

Ballack is a midfielder mate, put some respect on his name. One of the most complete players ever, he was pacey, strong, had a rocket in both his feet, scored headers regularly, had a wide range of passing skills and defended very well. I know Ronaldo is very much a better goalscorer than Ballack but comparing a lw/striker to a cm is disrespect to both sides
