Not defending the design but a friend of mine who is Māori thought that Mavuika is based on Māori Biker Gangs. Tried googling those guys to compare and I see no face tattoos on her at all. I do like her design but not as Pyro Archon. We’ll see if she gets replaced by Xabalanque like Neuvilette and Furina.

Nahida being white stylistically makes sense as in fairytales and okd stories, beings or obiects of pure white symbolize purity of spirit or mind, Which suits her as she is 'Physic of Purity', Her design also sticks out from the rest of the cast and fits in more with where she is as white and green are an uncommon two-tone combination, She also would've looked good if they gave her caramel colored skin, black hair and clothes instead of white and kept the green, just dimmed it down to be darker. Edit: The nahida slander, I bet your fun at parties. Her design is adorable and fits the more plant like appearance, Especially the leaf on her hair! Her kit is a bonus but i mainly like the attack animations and design, adorable and innocent, as it should be. Girlie needs some pants though... Mavuika not being tan however is a little concerning and odd, hoping they change that.

I don't think white skin symbolize purity. Maybe from where you reside, but in different cultures its totally different. and that's where the problem resides. A skin tone that doesn't represent the culture that was supposed to be represented by that specific character is not acceptable. most of the representations of "Purity" or "Fertility" or even other things are and can be represented by different symbols in different cultures.

@@M0har1b nahida is based on an iranian goddes called nahid or anahid which is the goddes of purity and they represent him like water or light or a very bright star because they show her purity and inocence and she also has a very white skin...her representaion in genshin is very accurate to me

@@M0har1b I originally came for infos on the new patch, but those wild statements kinda killed it for me. Nahida is one of the most beautiful characters in genshin. I would like you to explain in what way shape or form Cyno is not meta! He is an absolute machine, and most guides I see for him call him a must-pull. Also, dehya is not meta, similar to chiori (who's white), Eula (who's white) and Qiqi (who's white. Additionally, she's chinese, and we know Mihoyo should favor chinese characters). Dehya happens zo be on the not-so-strong side and she's tanned. WOW, CRY ME A RIVER, once that a rather weak character is tanned, of course it's instantly racism. And you keep mentioning Dehya because you know that the other tanned characters like Cyno or Candace actually kick ass. Also, I wanted to say this, but dehya is actually pretty strong. Having total interruption resistance during your ult (which infuses the enemy with pyro btw.) Is pretty op if you ask me.

Because last time i checked, Sethos and especcially candace are two very strong 4stars. Xinyan is chinese, wo why should Mihoyo make her weak? No, she's not weak because of racism bro, she'a weak because her kit doesn't work well together. You may want to notice that most so-called "weak" characters are Claymore users (Dehya, Xinyan, Sayu, Eula, Kaveh etc.) and the majority of them are white. I don't know what pot you're smoking, but to be so hard in denial of Cynos strength cannot be healthy, bro. You might want to get that checked.

Ngl the only archon design I actually liked is Zhongli lol and maybe to a lesser extent Raiden and Furina (as they look beautiful from the back), I never liked Nahida design and I thought she is not an archon until someone told me (I was pretty new to game at that time), but Pyro Archon design looks fine for me, I liked it more than other female archons, well I always forget design if I liked their personality and gameplay... I am def pulling her cuz "Archon Title" lol... Also looking forward for Xbalanque...
