In this video, what is NFC, How NFC works and some useful applications of NFC have been explained. And at the latter part of the video, NFC has been compared with the other technologies like Bluetooth, RFID and QR code.
What is NFC?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is short distance wireless communication technology. So. when two NFC enabled devices are very close to each other (roughly around 4 cm), then they can communicate with each other using radio waves.
How NFC Works?
NFC enabled devices communicates with each other using radio waves. And three modes of communication is supported by NFC technology.
1) Card Emulation mode
2) Peer-to-Peer Mode
3) Reader/Writer Mode
In peer-to-peer mode, both NFC enabled devices generates the radio wave alternatively and communicates with each other.
In reader/writer mode, devices communicate each other using the principle of electromagnetic induction. The active device transmits the radio wave and the passive device responds back using the load modulation technique.
In card emulation mode, the smartphone acts like the passive smart card and the working principle of this mode is similar to the reader /writer mode.
NFC Standards:
To establish the communication between the NFC enabled devices, certain standards have been defined. And these NFC standards are known as NFC-A, NFC-B, NFC-F, and NFC-V.
Applications of NFC:
1) Mobile Payments
2) Home Automation
3) As a Smartcard or Smart poster
4) Library System
5) Health Care
6) connecting/pairing devices
7) Personal usage
Timestamps for the different topics covered in the video is given below:

5:51 NFC Standards (NFC-A, NFC-B, NFC-F, and NFC-V)

This video will be helpful to everyone in understanding what is NFC and how NFC technology works.

Hi. I have a question. What's the easiest way to program the NFC tags using a Mac? And how can I use this NFC to enable another microchipped device/machine?

Your technical information is great. Can I be so forward and point out to you that; in English you should not pause your speech AFTER an article ('THE' or 'A')!!! It sounds so strange when you pause after saying "the", try pausing before the article. Keep up the good work.

Sparsh Mecwan that is not an excuse, when someone (a native speaker) offers advice to improve, you can try and modify your speech instead of saying you cannot help it. You can!!!

very irrelevant comment, you’re English is perfect and it was clear. Congrats for explaining such a complicated concept in another language! If @tevaproduction found it strange is more due to their closemindness and microagressivity, I would be curious to see them explain something in indian.

Does it eat ur battery if its on all the time?
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does. But compared to previous versions the new version of android operating system consumes less battery power (if NFC is ON for all time). But still, as it is checking periodically, so if it kept open it will drain the battery.

A very beneficial video on the topic starter. Just a friendly piece of advice: since this video will be shared all over the world & not everyone fathoms the Indian accent, you could make use of reader bots the next time maybe (make it accent neutral). btw ..Did I say this was a helpful video? 👍

Why is every goddamn tech guide on youtube narrated by someone with a heavy Indian accent? I'm sorry, but for some reason I really have difficulty understanding that accent. Something about the isochrony just throws me off mid sentence, and then all I hear is gibberish for a few seconds, until I recognise a row of words and can follow along again, until I'm thrown off anew.
