Hey Jared I hope your keeping an eye on the cabinet around the water kettle. We noticed that the steam it produces has permanently fogged our solid black walnut wood cabinets. That being said. it probably will make quick work out of particle board or MDF cabinets. It's best to pull that Ketel away from the cabinets and let the steam vent to the larger open room. Also: instead of the ninja, we use a Magic Bullet! they take up very little space and are easy to clean up with if you fill the cup with soap and water and give it a spin and then rinse..

Great info. A few thoughts after 29 years of RVing… 1) Keep a light rubber band on the arm of the paper towel holder… when you have a breeze coming through the rig (our towel holder is right by the door) just pul the band over the roll the paper towels won’t blow or unroll. 2) Poster putty in the stationary dept is GREAT for every wall or counter item to stay stable during travel 3) Get curtain tension rods which are much cheaper than RV tension rods for your fridg or cabinets. Have a few extra for the shower when drying wet clothes. 4) water filter pitcher!!! It makes the best ice too 5) our first Corelle plates are still in use and I have a basket in the cabinet that allows me to stand the plates on end (I put a paper plate in between each plate) and the bowls sit flat with cups all together. At meal time I can just pull the basket out or easily grab a plate etc. 6). HAVE FUN!!!

If you are having trouble with paper towels unrolling when you drive, try twisting large rubber bands onto the horizontal holder bar. I use #84 or 64 for their bulk until it is near 1/4 inch smaller than the towel tube. That helps on the road and when tearing off a sheet as it minimizes the freewheeling roll.

After seeing other RVers rave about that paper towel holder, I got one for our house. Within a month, it started to hang really low like it was going to fall apart. It never did fall apart and retained tension but it looked so pathetic, I replaced it. I use a little clothes pin in our RV for travel days - just clip the top towel with a few more layers behind it. The hands free tearing is a luxury we've had to give up.

When you have power, an Induction cooker is great for the RV. It doesn’t heat up the RV and it’s very fast. It also is low power since the temperature can be controlled so well from 140 to 400 deg F. Duxtop is only $50 something.

Agree, took out my microwave too. That cabinet now holds my Keurig coffee maker and George Foreman grill. I also carry an Instantpot with airfryer in it and my 40 year old Osterizer Blender with the food chopper attachment. Im full time and also use a BabyQ for BBQ. Depends on if I have shore power or am using my solar. For total boodocking I use some propane stove/oven. Love my collapsible colander/dish drainer. The cabinet door panel that I use for a stove top cover to add counter space and keep the stovetop dust free is priceless! :) Oh, and the usb tent fan that I hang for extra ventilation is awesome and super quiet.

We are in a 25' Couples RV and have 1 silverware drawer so I found a small oval metal kitchen container (with a handle for carrying it outside too) to store all my other cooking utensils in. My husband took some thin wood pieces and made a divider inside the container, for four separations. It lives on the counter except for travel days, then it goes in the sink. Easy access for everything I need to cook with.

I carry a tabletop single element induction burner - I use it a lot outside for bacon and onions so as not to smell up the RV - It's VERY fast and controllable. Loved your video as always. We have one of those portable ice makers and my complaint with them is the ice does not get a good hard freeze so it melts quite quickly. What I do is dump it out on a cookie tray and put it in the freezer. When it is good and hard it goes into a bowl in the freezer and that is where we use the ice from.

I love my toaster oven. I got it before air frying was a thing, but it has a Convection button. Yep, we now call that air frying. I got a basket and I'm good. My local grocery store has started selling collapsible food storage containers. Since they are for lunches, the lids have clips so they are less likely to just pop off. And they have a small storage footprint. Very helpful for me since I use an ice chest style compressor fridge, so those locking lids are necessary.

I make a lot of rice at home. But it doesn't have to take up space on your stovetop. Well, it does ... at first. I make mine by first bringing the water to a boil. If you're making a cup of rice (usually enough for my wife and me for a single meal), you want to boil slightly less than a cup of water, like 7/8 of a cup. Get it boiling real well, then toss in the rice and give it a stir. As soon as the water starts boiling again. remove the pan rom the heat and set it aside. It doesn't have to be on the stove. If you have a trivet that can protect your counter from the hot pan, you can set it anywhere. Then, ignore the pan and continue with the rest of the meal. By the time everything else is ready (or 5-10 minutes, if you prefer), the rice will be ready. We use the "minute rice" variety, available in brand names and many grocery chains carry their own house brand. It all works as good as any other. At my house, the rice comes out perfect every time. Now, I live at high altitude, between 7 and 8 thousand feet above sea level, so the amount of water or the time required may have to be adjusted elsewhere. But this method is simple and, once the water is boiling, frees up that burner to be used some other way.

I don’t find the velcro strap on my paper towels too annoying. My little travel trailer “oven” however, is TOTALLY useless. We can’t get anything to cook right in it. The flame is right below the food so the bottom is burnt to a crisp, while the top is still raw, and we have a thermometer and the temp is way out of control. So it’s now storage for the pots and pans sadly. I’d like to swap it for a toaster oven but it’s built in with the stove! lol.

I purchased a pair spacers for between the stove and countertop. It seems there is such a wide space for crumbs and food particles to fall down between the stove and cabinets that you can’t get them cleaned out. Too small for a crevice tool on vacuum and too wide to keep stuff out. I bought stainless steel ones on AMazon which were expensive but look awesome and stay put. Not a fan of the silicon ones. TrueGem Stove Gap Covers - Stainless Steel, WILL NOT MELT & BURN LIKE SILICONE COVERS CAN, filler guard to stop food from falling between oven and counter space (size: REGULAR) I also purchased a magnetic paper towel holder with a little shelf. I put that on our duel fuel refrigerator in our camper and it works great. I didn’t think the magnet would be strong enough, but I liked it so well, I bought another 2 for our house!

Add a ceramic pizza stone in the oven, it helps regulate the temp and decrease fluctuations.

Those cups are great but I found out when in the truck I have to cover the tops to keep the sun from warming the liquid.

I would opt for a convection microwave, for "double-duty" as mine acts as a range hood, as well. I also have a convection toaster oven and I would be concerned were it in a cabinet like yours as mine gets very hot and I always pull it out from under the cabinet when I use it (not in an RV). I like the idea of a griddle however, I would use a BIG electric skillet as it is more versatile.

I love my convection microwave and use it multiple times a day, so I wouldn’t remove that. The gas oven, on the other hand, I’ve used once in 4 years. I’d love to remove that and just have a cooktop. Then I could use the oven space for storage.

Same here, if I bake, I use a dutch oven outside. A little dishwasher under the cooktop would be fantastic. I made a mesh rack and put it between the cooktop and the microwave, I put my toaster oven and insta pot on it. Being mesh, I just put a few bungee cords on the stuff to keep them in place. I always put the ice maker on the floor in front of the stove while we travel. I would love to have a double fridge and freezer, but I don't think I'll find one in a 30 foot bunkhouse travel trailer.

I'm about to become a full-time off-grid RV'er and felt it was a good idea to buy a second icemaker! The first one I got six years ago and used it for two glamping trips and during the summer for smoothies. I don't use ice often in my daily life. However, it makes sense because, in the future, I won't be able to afford one, and China's borders may be closed. Blessings!!!
