Fun Fact: The Kangaroo got its name from a misunderstanding in language. When Captain James T. Cook first set foot on the continent of Australia, he and his crew were amazed at the number of strange and interesting animals that inhabited the land. When he spotted this tall, big-footed, hopping creature, Captain Cook asked one of the native aboriginals what it was called. The native replied, "ka n'g gurru". And thus the creature was forever known as, the Kangaroo. But what Captain Cook didn't know was that "Ka n'g gurru" was "I don't understand" in the Indigenous aboriginal language.

Omg look at the baby kangaroos eyes!!!! Also, it's quite rare that a mama animal let's humans be this close to their children! Kangaroos are definitely one of a kind!
