Blade shearing a merino wether at Mt Cook Station, New Zealand last year. He has super fine wool and looks great after shearing.

Question: someone said that female lambs will holler while male lambs will not (along with both male and female sheep). Is this true?

I think someone is making things up. Maybe with certain breeds but I've seen both male and female lambs and adult sheep bleating regularly.

It's all about the way they are handled. If they are kept comfortable and handled gently they tend to sit well
