No, if a hand ties the dealer (AK vs AK on top) it is considered a loss.

The small has to be smaller than the 5 card hand, or it's a foul hand, and you would loose, if the dealer doesn't catch you first.

Good question. In Pai Gow the Joker only counts as an Ace or can be used to complete a straight or flush. So in this case with three 8s and a joker, the joker can be used as an Ace high.

I couldn't watch past 20:00. They're playing PAI GOW and don't play for it and both times it happened 2 in row. Maybe should change name to "PAI GOW WON'T HAPPEN TWICE"!

I played this in the casino once... for less than 10 hands... I think for me it was either too much thinking or I was always doing too much drinking 😉🙃🙂 Watching this though, it doesn't seem as complex as I think I was thinking it was

Because even though the cards are in the hi and low hand they all together can make a 5 card flush. In pai gow it is common to break apart a good hi hand like flushes and straights if you have another good hand that can make strong hi and low hands

No in Paigow poker the joker can only be used to complete Flushes or Straights otherwise it is always an Ace so his A-T loose to A-Q

It’s Face Up Pai Gow Poker. That’s why you can see the dealer’s hands before you even set yours.
