Editors Note: On the first night of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, while filming Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular for what was going to be a multicamera edit was ended short.
Durning "Friends on the Other Side" it started to rain, and they ended the show early.
Now without further delay, the rain cancellation edition of Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.

If it starts raining, they should scream, "it's the burning rain of death!" Then run off the stage and then make the announcement

I remember this happened at one of the stage shows at the Hollywood Studios once. I understand they had to cancel for the safety of the actors-but I agree it didn't have to be so abrupt. The characters could have made the announcement or something.

I don't think they were being rude at all weather is unpredictable and it's nature guys they got off quickly so they wouldn't get caught in a downpour the safety of the cast members is the number 1 priority with Disney

Somewhat if a very light rain, more like a garden sprinkler I would say.

Would you rather see a performer slip and twist their ankle? Any moisture on that stage is a good reason to cancel a show. It doesn't take a torrential downpour to create unsafe conditions.

breemik08 they do have a short end edition of shows specifically for if they need to end it early.

Sort of. If they need to end a show early, they will simply abort like they did in this instance. Only a few shows have a shortened version and it has to be decided on before the show begins. Friendship Faire has a sing along that can be performed when the stage conditions are deemed unsafe to perform choreography on. It's when the whole cast comes out, sings the opening and closing songs, and then leaves. Dream Along with Mickey did the same. A Hocus Pocus Sing Along would simply be too strange. It would basically be the whole cast coming on stage to watch Winnifred sing "I Put a Spell on You" by herself. It's not like the standard daytime shows where all the Villians would gather together in one big cuddle-fest to sing some kind of sappy, inspirational song. Plus, with so many characters wearing heavy, alcohol-based make-up, they don't want to risk the performers getting wet. It takes Hades a lot of time to look that fabulous.

Wow they totally DITCHED the audience! They couldn’t even wave goodbye, bow, or shrug before just stopping their performance in mid air, turning their backs, and leaving everyone hanging 😕🥺😐 so rude.
