We think all of the 2nd and 3rd gen Frontiers should be coming about 2" higher from the factory. It really suits the truck aesthetically.

Facts!

What did you end up going with? I'm curious because I'm in the same boat as you. I did the ADO rckilla and add a leaf in rear....took overload spring out. It left me about 3/4 of an inch rake in rear. Definitely rides stiffer. I put 110lb tentbox RTT on a 73lb rack and 30lb 270 awning. That's around 215lbs. Add a cooler and firewood and some cooking equipment with a 5 gal of water and I'm around 300lb ish mark maybe a bit more. I'm getting about 1 inch squat (about level with front) and drives smoother with weight in back. Then prob 7 month's out of year the tent and awning come out and I store them in corner of garage. Truck is great! Great gas mileage at around 20.8 mpg because tent is even with cab on a 12 inch mid rack height. I do light offloading to remote camp spots. Nothing aggressive at all.

More likely to come across CBC with the bilsteins only because they have a long shock length (not often but every truck is built different). Konis should clear just fine.

The add a leaf stiffens up the rear leaf pack which gives you the 1.5" of lift. It will also allow you to haul a little more than stock without sagging due to the increased spring rate.

There're trade-offs to both form factors (twin vs mono) and it comes down to personal preference. A twin tube design is only "lower value" in the marketing materials of a monotube manufacturer. :)

we bought the truck for advertising/R&D. also, may as well throw our parts on it since it's a rolling billboard for our company to show what we offer.

It seems to be pretty close to spot on, surprisingly. We haven't found a need to recalibrate on our truck.

Adjustable cam bolts are included in our Koni complete kits. :) Our ADO UCA's help with alignment but I found they weren't necessary on my truck.

the ride is better. also fuel mileage hasn't really been affected. gets around 20 on the highway and still gets up to 19 mpg in town.

So the Koni’s require a longer spring so we are using our “heavy” spring as the mediums for the Koni coilovers. We are developing a special heavy spring for the Koni’s

@@AlldogsOffroadCoop I know the rear dampening can be adjusted to 2.5 full turns what do you feel is the best set 2.0, 1.75 or 1.5 turns?

@@JPzaSniper we were at factory default setting and happy there with the AAL. If we were running our broverland or upcoming parabolic leaf packs I'd probably start at 1 to 1.5 turns.

@@AlldogsOffroadCoop sweet. I loved my fox coilover on the frontier. I used the ADO UCA’s with them and it was the perfect ride for my truck. Rears didn’t matter much, aren’t intended to lift…but my ocd will kill me if I don’t match up shocks. It kills me. I also think for me a set of 5100’s with a lifting coil to match (with about the same weight setting as the old fox’s) would do me just fine. I travel gravel and first cut roads often. But most mileage on highways at 75+ mph. Falken at3w!! And Goodyear mt/r’s

We sell a 1/2” spacer to help get closer to level but none of our kits are built to level. Rake is an essential piece to a truck’s suspension

It’s 90% the same. Nissan put longer rear shocks on the 3rd gen as well as a rear sway bar.

@@AlldogsOffroadCoop BTW I live in LATAM and we get a different version, the Diesel D23 NP300, I’m going to attempt a titan swap, since the front suspensiones seams to be the same, The rear si a 5-link setup with coils so it’s going to be something custom, Happy to share my results.

Very minor differences. The front is pretty much identical but the rear has longer shocks than the 2nd gen. Our kits will work though. The Koni rear shocks are closer to the factory 4600 lengths. Coil springs and add a leaf will bolt right on!

@@AlldogsOffroadCoop I noticed you have your own lift kit with 5100s out as well, so you're saying the rear bilstein 5100s might give you a bit shorter lift than the Koni because the stocks are longer?

@@MeliorIlle the leaf pack or add a leaf do the lifting in the rear. The only difference the 2 shocks make is that the Koni equipped truck has a little more down travel.

What is the coil spring rate of the oem coils and the ones you used on this video? I want a better ride..i dont want the jarring I get with the pen suspension but not really looking for lift..if these konis are truly amazing then I will lift but I want to do it right...did you ever find out if uca are needed with this set up?

we do, our radflo extended travel kit is 3". we will not sell suspension spacers though to get you to 3"

it will get you close but we don't build our kits for perfectly level.

It’s around 2” depending on your truck. You can add our 1/2” spacer to get you to 2.5” but then you will need aftermarket upper control arms.
