Gives me early Scar Symmetry vibes with the excellent clean vocals, especially when I heard the end of Into Embers.

you, there are moments on this album where I was remined Scar Symmetry as well. maybe not completely in regards to the cleans, since Riley does not sound like Christian, but just the vibe.

Badass. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but I was getting strong Killswitch vibes from the chorus, maybe because of the hooky melody and emotional heft of the vocals. Allegaeon are still definitely their own beast, though

There were some sections in some songs that had cleans on the last album, but it looks like they’re going to be more prominent on this new album from the sound of the singles. Not a bad thing lol

I feel like many tracks that start with "Of" or "Ov" really turn out great, this is no exception, like "Of the Abyss" by Lorna shore or "Ov Sword and Nail" by Worm Shepherd. Great songs

They normally don't have cleans on the albums but I think the frontman has wanted to incorporate them as soon on his covers of Subdivisions and Roundabout

We are only in the last stages of January and this track comes out. So many interesting albums coming soon. Best allegaeon song ever in my humblest opinion.😱😱😱

They do use clean vocals sometimes, but on the previous albums they were very scarce, only a handful of songs had them, like Tsunami and Submergence, Apoptosis, Extremophiles B or A, can't recall, Cognitive Computations and Proponent for Sentience III with Björn Strid from Soilwork. But even in these songs, clean vocald are only used in like one or two verses, the exception being PfS with Strid singing the chorus. And ofc they have their prog rock covers which are all clean vocals but don't really count. These two singles from Damnum already have as much cleans as their entire discography so far, and I love it, they know how to do it properly.

with the first vocalist they had they never did clean vocals, but once they got a new one is when they started incorporating clean singing. me personally, I prefer the first vocalist. I haven't really been able to get into this band since they started adding clean vocals to the mix. I just don't like his voice if I must be honest. sucks too cause over the years they've just been able to get better and better over time. Their 2nd and 3rd album's still remain my favorite from them.

What I like about this song is the entire intro until it gets heavy, it almost has that late 70's arena rock kind of vibe and it really catches you and draws you in, then for some reason when it gets heavy, they lose me, it just kind of sounds mediocre like they just threw it together, for me they lost that really awesome vibe they had going on in the beginning.
