On this episode of The Class of ’96, Bomani Jones looks at the life and career of Allen Iverson. Iverson was the smallest player ever to be selected with the No. 1 overall NBA draft pick, but he left a massive imprint on the league. His scoring prowess, electrifying crossovers and fearlessness earned him a place in the Hall of Fame. And his unapologetic demeanor made him a cultural icon. Iverson never won a title, but fans will remember him as one of the most singular stars in NBA history.

Love this revisionist history by ESPN . When he was being vilified they reported and stated all the knocks on him. Never taking this view about him being an "icon" till he is long gone from the spotlight .

Gonna disagree here. Kyrie, skill wise, is better than A.I on every level. Only person more skilled than Kyrie is the GOAT MJ himself.....but then again....what if Kyrie was 6'6-ish? If you talking carrying a team, I give you A.I One on One? Kyrie will eat up everybody in this current NBA. He hits shots that have never been hit before lol. Dude is crazy...

Absolutely....and I still think he was, imagine he did that with all the other teams knowing he was the only one who could score, and they still couldn't stop him. If he had help like Kobe and Jordan, it would have been all over.

exactly today league caters to the guard where there no contact you can't step in a players shooting space and you can take a travel stepback and everyone dame near carries. Ai would kill in today's league. lots of other players probably wouldn't hold up in the early 2000
