In this video, I'm showing how to make a homemade drill press table with hold-down clamps.

Today I made a simple table stand that works for a drill press as well as for a drill press stand. A drill press table is an essential jig for drill presses that lets you work easier and more precisely with items while drilling. Apart from that I also made two hold-down clamps to fix the item in place while drilling. The clamps are using a T-track system but no router is needed to make a track. To fix the hold-down clamps I used a hexagon screw and a wing nut. The drill press is now much more stable and provides better comfort while drilling. If you're planning to make one I recommend you make it simple at the beginning.

Wonderfully presented! I love that you got the drill press to help you clamp the table together; I picture you having a conversation where you said, “Look, I’m building you this fancy table, but you’ve got to put in some work here!”

I’m sure you know by now but just glue up and then cut your perfect little blocks or else use salt over the glue to avoid the slippage you got that misaligned your blocks. No matter for this project cuz you cut them out anyways. More just a couple of tips for the viewers.

Today is Sunday in Sydney, Aust. I watched all your creations with great pleasurew and utmost attention...I do like woodwork and I must admit I am inspired by your cool and relaxed style. I am hoping to be able to do things as a hobby. I should start buying 'Drill Stand/Electric Drill Stand' I had a glimpse at the the one you're currently using. Do you think you could inform me the brand and model you're using..it looks like 'Hafco DS-19 Compact Power Drill Stand' ?? Thnx a lot

Hello Orhan, greetings to Sydeny. Firstly, thank you so much for the support and the comment. A drill stand is definitely helpful for precise work. I'll take a look at the model of my stand and will let you know but it is from the Hafco Family (Either the one you are mentioning or very close). It is a very simple one but it does the job. Sometimes it is not that easy to adjust it properly but it works. I guess goes hand in hand with the price ;) Thanks again!
