We finish this mega 2000w solar system and 800 ah of battery all running at 24 volts using 2x Victron multiplus Inverters in parallel.

You're welcome :) The wire chase is not always in such a bad spot. All Alliance rv's have it (paradigm, Avenue and Valor) but many models the wire chase comes out closer to the divider and much closer to the center. Fantastic video, and thanks for the Bear fix :)

I have the Alliance Valor 44V14 and it’s my understanding all alliances come with a roof port to the bay. 😮.

Taking you up on the offer related to your panels in series and parallel. Could you do a video maybe with a whiteboard showing various configurations running in series and parallel or parallel and series. 👍🏼

I did not see the obligatory sticker shot? Nice job as always.

thanks for the video. I would love to see more about the series parallel wireing on the roof. How do you cut/drill hole in greytank vent to get up to roof? thanks

Just wondering. The smart shunt has the capability to monitor a second battery. I think you said the original AGM 12v battery is still in-use (being fed from the Orion). I'm not sure if this 'capability' works unless both battery stores are the same voltage ? Ie) you have the 'main bank' at 24v, but the other one is 12v. So, to monitor the 12v battery would a second shunt be needed ? Thank you for your videos. I'm a huge fan!

If you just want to monitor the voltage, no you could use the auxiliary input for that if you want to monitor actual amps, you need an additional shunt. With that said the DC system tile on the Cerbo GX will pretty accurately represent the 12 V loads.

Who would think 200 watt, 24volt panels would be so expensive! How many did you fit on your bus roof (The Blue Bus)?

We used 455w panels on top 8x and 16 100w panels on the sides and then 400w for air deflectors.

Do you sell gently used solar panels? I’m trying to budget build our set up running a victron multiplus 2 12v. 1-370 & 2-200 w panels . 2023 reflection 303RLS. Got extremely blessed to get at a realistic price!

No, anything we have used was a take off and is usually in rough shape.

Darn . How do you feel about getting “house” panels at a cheap price? Pros cons? Greatly appreciate your advice.

If on an RV and you want as much as possible, stick with 200w panels. Better to put 10-14 200w panels than 3 500w panels. If for a house / office grid / ground mount or rack on an RV , yea great choice. If used, skip it. New ones are so much better and there is a degradation to them over time. With all the work and time it takes, do it right, get the most power you can. Only caveat would be if it’s for a ground mount in a farm or cabin, where having 2-4 extra panels is no big deal, then by all means, save some money and start cheaper.

Do you have a link to that LED light strip? (Or is that a SotaSolar secret?? 🙂 I'd like to get one in my install, my front compartment came with no light at all.

Question, do you seal up the vent pipe to keep the fumes out? Thanks Don

Yes!!!! Some silicone sealant, let it firm up, then flex seal spray.

never a fan of each panel being secured. Always use strut channel and attach panels to that, easy upgrade paths and cable managments.

We like to too, we’re looking for an airstream customer to take the plunge and max out their solar potential using unirac rails. We figure we can get 1200-1600w on one.
