An Allis Chalmers WD-45 plows a field on the club plow day.

That Allis Chalmers WD-45 would put the others to shame. Spent many hours plowing with the WD-45 and the D-17. Very good tractors. It was a shame they went out the way they did.

ChiefAUS great tractor hated the snap coupler but throw a 3pt conversion on its good.. Snap coupler plow was great only issue we ever had was corn stubble being a low clearance plow it could plug...

👍🇺🇸we had one gas one Disiel WD45S ALONG WITH 170, 180 AND WC. ALL GREAT WORKING TRACTORS

Good rich dirt. That is the first tractor my father had on the little farm where I grew up. He later traded up to the D 17 and on to the XT 190, then finally something in the 7000 series, I'm not sure what. All fine tractors. US and a good friend of ours were the only one's farming with AC tractors. About everybody else was JD. Cut them and they would bleed green. All good tractors. Just had to make sure there was a quality dealer around for service as needed.

My appreciation for AC tractors comes from my grandfather who had a WD45. I always thought the early JD diesels with the pony motor to start them are neat as well.

In the heavy clay soil we have they are almost a requirement.

If Memory Serves me correctly Our WD 45 pulling the same plow pulled it in 3rd gear with a hell of a lot more authority than this one does... Sounds like the Engine is rubbing at 1/2 throttle, and the the Traction Booster doesn't seem to be set right..... Down South we have deer flies that bite... and they would eat you alive moving that slow.....

I used to run a tire chain on the wheel not in the furrow to control wheelspin.

Fluid in the rear tires is the only way to go without it a tractor is useless

Good day Boy that looked like pretty heavy soil. Now traction booster would that have help. We had WD-40 didn't know to use traction booster. Thanks

@@randystout9955 No we had a WD tractor & it was considered 45, but we thought it only had 40 hp. That is why I called WD-40. Thanks

Spent many hours doing that on a 45. May be wrong but it sure looks and sounds like he didn't have the traction booster set correctly while plowing

that is some nasty dirt looks like traction booster is out of adjustment or it neds more weight also allis never did have a good plow i have 2 5/16 one had 22 different moldboards availble if you got one worked in mo gumbo it wouldnt work other places but that 45 had very good motors i,vs been through lots another thing i noticed is that plow wasnot level

Our dirt has a lot of clay in it. Not my tractor or plow so I can't comment on how it was setup. But thank you for watching.
