@Sarah Lyman --- I feel the same way; to have never met someone and feel so touched by his life and death is really a testament to his spirit. I'm so saddened that he felt he could not go on, yet he was so loved. I'm heartbroken for his wife and kids.

Me too. I always feel so happy when I see someone do well who seems like a genuinely good soul. Because the norm seems to be that the most ruthless are the ones who typically prevail. Wish someone/something could have prevented his death.

Twitch's death hit me so hard and I don't even know him. I can imagine what this precious family is going through. I've followed his career from the beginning. He was such a beautiful person. It broke my heart when I heard what happened. I love that Allison continues to talk about mental health and his legacy in a positive way. Sending love and hugs.

I can not imagine what she and her children have been going through. My heart breaks for her and those babies. She’s doing a great job. I lost my dad as an adult but I couldn’t imagine as a child.

Your husband brought so much joy to me on so many days. I remember when he was on, so you think you can dance and my niece, and I absolutely fell in love with his energy and his smile and of course his talent. I dont think she is okay though but because she is doing so well for the kids then she is doing okay in her head. What an absolute tragedy this poor woman has been through - going through. Its still early days as well

Agree it’s a long road. Her kids lives are forever changed. This is a serious trauma and she seems to be trying to figure out how to move through it. Feel annoyed that people felt a need to do box her into this glossy afternoon special when the convo could be about the realities of suicide and suicide prevention. Wishing her and her family lots of healing on the road ahead.

Alison was my absolute favorite dancer on that first season of SYTYCD, and I loved watching tWitch-the humor and joy he brought to his dancing. Years later I wondered what had happened to Alison Holker, and was delighted to learn that the two of them were a couple and had a family. Likewise, hearing of his death was devastating. I’m not surprised that she is handling this with such beauty and grace, just so sad for what everyone lost.

Ffrom what Kallan(sp?) has mentioned they would "check in" with each other. So there was for sure mental health stuff going on, but we all mask it so well that no one ever expects someone to die from suicide. :(

It’s sweet to see her positivity, I think it’s a coping mechanism. What he did was selfish no matter how much everyone wants to sugar coat it. His family never deserved this.

I get how it can appear that way but you also have to realize he wasnt in his right frame of mind to do what he did. I dont think for a second that he wanted to leave his family or leave them without a will. The internal pain must have been so hard for him. That is how I look at it.

Maybe he wasn't selfish and didn't do this to himself. Allison's story and the police investigation that was closed too quickly are both full of holes.

Based on your statement, it sounds like you’ve never been through mental health struggles because sometimes people do snap. I would just like to know from a professional perspective why some people don’t reach out. But whatever he was going consumed him. Suicidal thoughts are very powerful and can often take over any logic. I’ve experienced it.
