However, if its the coming back from a 3-1 deficit or the first go round against the GSW version of Bron then yes he deserves to be there. If you only compete against teams from one nation then you're national champions it's literally called the NATIONAL basketball association. It’s really not. You have to remember this assembling a team that actually has to play on the court, not just throwing the top 12 names onto a roster. Team USA’s biggest problems the last few Olympics/FIBA games has been defending guards, and their lack of size. Well they answered both of those problems. They got Embid, AD, and Bam when in the past they just had one guy like Bam. And they got Holliday, Halliburton and Kawhi who are all 6’4-6’7 and can guards 1-3. Is Brunson better than Holliday and Halliburton? Of course he is, but he’s 5’11 and not the best defender. This team doesn’t need anymore scoring it needed defense and they got it with Holliday/Haliburton/Kawhi
