Sir ,what is mechanical labeling and optical labeling in inspectrometer???????????????

Mechanical lavelling should be this one in which we place a leveller at many places and level the bench. I am not sure about optical lavelling but it should be like the light voming from the collimator slit should properly come to ypur eye piece. Over all light apurce should be in line with the system. This is what i can guess from this terminology.
