I might be missing where you're coming from so correct me if need be. Jesus, quite literally, set up the Ekklesia, the body of believers, *the gathering*, the fellowship of followers of The Way. He had more than 12 disciples at one point. Its likely he had over 100 before many left. The apostles are just the ones who stayed. The Apostles who Christ sent (Apostles=sent ones) then established fellowships who were to gather and not forsake coming together. They were to have a Shepherd over their gathering and have those that committed to be servants of the gathering (Deacon=servant). They were to give offerings that the Shepherd who sows spiritually would be able to reap materially. Apostle Paul said there is a goal and a plan to our fellowship: And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11‭-‬13 NASB1995 We are called not just to fellowship directly with God but to also fellowship with each other as believers. If we don't go to "church", how do you see the body of Christ coming together to fellowship?

@@AdvocateSpirit Jesus never said that we had to be in a church building in order to “gather”. He says where two of three are gathered in my name I am in the midst. We are so caught up on what Paul said that we tend to forget the LIFE of Jesus. And yet my question was still not answered…No where in the 4 books that depict Jesus’ life does it say he was in church or even talked about being in a church.

@@SampDeLeon I just noted the gathering. I didn't talk about church. We are to gather. I don't particular want a building unless it's raining but we need to gather. How would you work the logistics of a local fellowship of 100+ people gathering? The life of Jesus is filled with Him preaching in buildings but either way Paul said what he said! The two don't contradict. *Jesus Teaching in the ''Church'' of His time* - He said this while *teaching in the synagogue* in Capernaum. *John 6:59* - Jesus went throughout Galilee, *teaching in their synagogues,* proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. *Matthew 4:23* For context, I'm not for church buildings. I feel allergic to them half of the time. However, I just want to be sure you know the significance and the *commandment* that God gave us to gather (not church but gather). A lot of Christians say what you've said and end up isolated, watching the God channel at home and are easy prey for the enemy. So I want to know how you'd organise a fellowship gathering without an agreed building.

thats inaccurate , the bible also says in Jeremiah 3:15 " Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. " You need someone knowledgeable in the word of God to lead you and to mature you through your walk with God . those scriptures you put you have the wrong context read over it again

Are you asking for clarity to determine if you should not go or have you decided that you do not wish to go, and youre asking to deter others? We have to be careful that we are not coming to divide. If church helps someone, I surely don’t see it as a problem but we know who the ultimate teacher is. 🙌🏽 Come in peace, no matter what you decide, and respect others’ decisions.
