Even if she did aim for Thunder's head, it would be the same result. Thunder doesn't need the suit. She's still bulletproof without it. Thunder has the ability to increase her body's mass while preserving volume, which effectively increases her density. In this state she is near-immovable, almost completely invulnerable. A mob enforcer once suffered a compound fracture after trying to punch Thunder in the face. Notably, she can make her skin strong enough to withstand bullets.

Hawkeye pulled one on Vision. Okay, Hawkeye can't kick a bulletproof character hard enough to hurt her, but he knows Vision. He knew him well enough to disable him with electricity. What did he expect that ASP to do? I at least understands why he carries one, he can't do everything with a bow, by YTF did he pull it on Vision?

She didn't hit her hard, when she got knocked down she realized that her strength comes from her holding her breath if she's not holding her breath Syonide would win cause I assume she's the better fighter.

Is there more energy transfer with a punch, maybe? Bullets are small and designed to pierce into / through a small area. The wounds can be almost 'clean' I imagine, like a straight cut versus a serrated knife. If they aren't strong / sharp enough to penetrate a protective layer, they're useless, I guess. Punches seem to do shallower but more spread out damage, since a fist is bigger than a bullet and the (kinetic energy? I think?) doesn't need to 'pierce' the target to do damage to it. Idek, just a head-top guess from a totally clueless viewer. x'D . But yeah, that was a weird seeming and kinda silly plot choice for the character's design around her defensive strengths / weaknesses.

@@iprobablyforgotsomething plausible but youre stretching it, also poorly executed... this woman is a deadly assassin and didnt try shooting in the head which was exposed except for the eyes? Its frustrating how CGI and fight choreographing has come so far yet these studios put so little effort into coordinating realistic fight scenes. NOBODY on set said "what about protecting her head?" Hue missteps like that ruin the experience, and waste the talent of these brilliant actresses.
