It's great to discipline yourself working long hours. It will pay off someday. Worked in a beach hotel during high season for long hours for a period 3 months in a stretch.👌👍

Not sure Royal Caribbean would have approved, but I'm glad you recorded it. I've really wanted to know what it was like "downstairs" and this video gave me some good insight!
@TimAlcoser8 жыл бұрын
That is what I mean. For example, you can do behind the scenes tours of crew areas on a lot of ships, but they don't let you bring cameras of any type for security reasons. They'll screen you with security to ensure compliance.
@JonasBrum808 жыл бұрын
+Tim Alcoser This video was recorded a few years ago when I used to work for RCCL. I am not sure if they would approve or not, but now I don't think it is important anymore.

Thank you for an excellent video! That ship is huge! The passageway right at the beginning goes on and on and on. Probably over 1000 crew members, and some don't see outside for days, I'll bet.

Thanks for the video Jonas. I have sailed with Voyager and loved the experience. I have been on 6 cruises and always had good things to say about the staff on all of them. This video, amongst others i've see, confirms that there are a lot of good people working on the ships and I can only extend my gratitude as a passenger for all the hard work they do.

It's what some ships call the crew deck (deck 4 usually). It runs from one end of the ship to the other sort of like a highway hence the M1.

Does any of the crew cabins have portholes?
@grazielaalmeida843810 жыл бұрын
@JonasBrum808 жыл бұрын
As outras cabines sao ainda menores.

so on a typical cruise, there is floor 1, then floor 0 has infirmary, then how many floors are there below zero? I guess it does vary from ship to ship.

I really enjoyed the video. The crew messdecks are great along with the rec rooms. Very nice. I have a question though, I am a US Navy veteran. Allure has actually managed to respect their crew with these accommodations. If these quarters had been available in the 80's I would have been a Chef or Sous Chef on board in a heartbeat.Instead, I became a "land" chef where the living was much finer
