Looks great! Don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, but If you add 1/2 cup of the water the pasta cooked in when you lower the heat and simmer for 10 mins it will bring that sauce together nicely.

I have made that same dinner since I was 10 years old, but I add a cup of tomato or v8 juice and I use sharp cheddar cheese..I called it HALLOWEEN DINNER great for the kiddos to have a quick hot meal, before heading out for Tricks or Treats..still make it for HALLOWEEN and I am 74..

I made it and the family loved it. I had a half can of plain tomato sauce in the fridge I threw in because it needed used and I also added a little salt, garlic powder, and plenty of herbs. It turned out great

I made this last weekend and I ate it all myself!!! I live alone, & I love to cook. & Everyone is on salt free fat free diets. Not me. I made this, & ate normal size portions each day til it was gone!! Other recipes, like that beef with thyme & mushrooms... Something like that, I'll freeze 1/2 & the rest I'll share later. I made those Philly steak and cheese shells for a party, & they disappeared in no time flat!! 💗💗💗

I make the same recipe I call baked rigatoni the only differance is I add a 10oz can of tomatoe sauce ,add a red pepper and use rigatoni noodles

Oh, yeah! This really looks tasty. To keep food from sticking to foil, just put a tiny bit of oil on the inside of the foil before covering. Nothing sticks when you remove the foil.

It was delicious! All I had was hot sausage but put Italian seasoning on it while cooking. Also used the diced tomatoes with pepper in it and small can of tomato sauce it was fabulous my family absolutely lived it!!!

I make this dish for my family, and it's delicious! Sometimes I add green peppers and/or tomato sauce, it adds a different spin on it. #Tip: if you spray your aluminum foil with cooking spray, the cheese won't stick to it. Thanks for all of your recipes!

I love one pan dishes like that. I make a similar dish using ground chicken or turkey olive oil, season with homemade taco seasonings and chop in sundried tomatoes, black olives or capers, grate parmesan and mozzarella in between layering, bake. 😉

I made this today and it was delicious. When I happened upon your video, I realized the garden stars were all lined up, as I had our freshly harvested garlic and onions, with tomatoes, basil and oregano out there for the picking. I pretty much followed what you did, except that I was too lazy to measure. I ran to Walmart for the penne and the Italian (hot) sausage. I used minimal cheese. Honestly, I could not expect a better meal in a restaurant, it was that good. And I am not a fancy cook, but a bit lazy, as I am usually pretty exhausted. Very simple, very good, I washed the dishes as I went, and enjoyed a truly delicious meal. You explained this well.

Will try this. I cook at a soup kitchen and I would add an 8 oz can of tomato paste with extra fine grated as an addition. Also would reserve some pasta water to create creaminess.

I make something very similar. I use fire roasted garlic tomatoes since they add a little extra. I also add about 1/2 cup of the pasta water before simmering since I like my pasta with a richer sauce component.

All of my favorites! I love Italian sausage! I spray the underside of my foil with a little cooking spray and that prevents the cheese from sticking. Cause you know I use a lot of cheese! 😂😂

Great presentation and so yummy. I added a 15 ounce can of tomato sauce and a quarter cup of fresh sliced mushrooms. It was awesome! TYSM.
