Big Celtic fan here, and I can not but respect chaps like Goram, McCosit, and bomber Brown. Guys that loved there club as I love my Celtic. Would have had any of them in the hoops strip. Goram was in goals when I was in high school, and just like Tommy he broke my heart on so many occasions, but only because he was a superb goal keeper, and to this day I still have to say one of the best goal keeper I have seen in my life time. R.I.P Andy Goram.

I’m a massive Celtic fan and Andy broke my heart regularly in the 90s but I’m very sad to hear he has passed, no one deserves that pain. He was without doubt a top goalkeeper . RIP Andy 💚

Made his debut at oldham athletic under joe royle at 16 years of age,watched him many times at boundary park, great goalkeeper and massive influence on the team,lots of fans have watched him progress into the big time,were he deserved to be. RIP goalie oldhams apprentice Rangers tradesman

Lost my dad at 58 to cancer and it really is heartbreaking,I can understand every emotion that Andy’s family have been going through,he definitely made my life and I’m sure hundreds of thousands of other Rangers fans life so special with his performances for Glasgow Rangers over the years 🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧

Lost my Dad at the same age and Some of my fav memories with him were watching that 9 in a row team. My Dad was a true blue long before I came along but getting to watch that team with him was priceless. I still have all his rangers kits.

This is so touching. Brought me to tears. Having worked in palliative care as a GP years ago it’s reassuring to know that cancer care is still excellent. Andy played for my club Man U and was a gent! RIP Andy. Gof bless you Ally. Football is just a sport and this tale I’m sure is close to home for many

Through great) the palliative team are absolutely fantastic! Yous do the upmost best of your personality within your work place and do a fantastic job! To help/care people on their last weeks/months as a job, I just find absolutely astounding and astonishing just how brilliant yous really are and deal with families of dying siblings. I don't wear a bowlers hat but if I did ..... id take it off for you ... hatrick ..... respect 💙👊

A true fitbaw man no matter who you supported, loyal to the core , even cellik fans loved his loyalty, there are players on both sides who transcend the old firm , alleged hatred, but to be honest when it comes down to it both gers n cellik fans are the best in the world

The goalie was something else. For a few seasons during the 90’s he was up there with anyone in world football. If fifa did team of the years back then he’d be in the mix. Ally, you’ve done him proud with your words.

As a celtic fan from Ireland reapect to Andy n the Glasgow rangers family n to Andy goram's family . As ally said he was only diagnosed like 10 weeks ago scary to think he wld go so soon . R.I.P Andy it's irrelevant who one supports the whole football community will mourn

Best keeper Scotland ever had in the modern era.. remember seeing him at Easter Road not long after he moved up from Oldham. Can't remember the opposition, shot came fizzing in from the left wing any to opposite top corner. Other keepers would have parried it out, he flew through the air and caught it. All the crowd just looked on in disbelief 💚💜 was there when he scored from his box, think it was against st mirren. R.I.P "the goalie" 💚💜♥️🤍💙💜💚

Well said Ally especially for the NHS staff can't imagine how you felt beside him when he passed away I was in hairmyres for 4 days pancreas issues and he was brought in my ward spoke to him have to say his response to not accepting chemo was surreal he said would give me a few more months, we spoke about my all time rangers man Willie Henderson won't forget that RIP Andy

First remember him from Euro 96. I was only 9 years old. I've always been a keeper so I always pay particular attention to the keepers at tournaments (still to this day). Bloody hell 58 is no age, he's 2 years younger than my mum. RIP Goalie 😔

I didn't realise he had passed. I used to play cricket with Andy for East Lancs Paper Mill. At 14 he was the Keeper and opening the batting. Amazing talent. So saddened by this, RIP Andy👏

Ally ours hearts are broken on both side of the great divide. Like legends from both sides he commanded the greatest respect and was loved by all especially representing Scotland at different sports. RIP GOALIE we will all miss you and as a mate it’s harder for you Ally. But we all take solace as you stated that he is no longer suffering. But the same cannot be said for all others. His other big mate, the late Tommy Burns, who we found out about his passing while driving back from Manchester 2008 and immediately upon getting back to Glasgow bought flowers and went to Parkhead to lay them wrapped in my Rangers v Zenit scarf, because he commanded the same respect! Will be glad to be reunited with him in the Heavenly SPL in the late great legends league, will now be in fear of another broken heart. Like the other late Celtic stars they are now collectively saying “OH NAW OUR WORST NIGHTMARE HAS JOINED GERS TEAM!

Andy "THE GOALIE " Goram is a legend to the Rangers support living or not. Rangers and Scotland greatest goalkeeper and a major part of us walking to nine in a row and the times he done the Ceptic almost single handed in the 90s are unforgettable. I feel a statue should be commissioned for outside Ibrox right away, the Rangers support would have no issues in chipping in to pay for it. At least the legend is free from pain and may he rest in peace. A true hero to the Rangers support.

I'm proud to say I met all those guys love the bones of you Ally, I can tell a wee story about Andy Ally John Brown doing ther training before the match would start, my dad god rest him isn't here he came up the stairs at the copeland with a cola and a bovril he never hard a chance with those 3 the drink went round about him and what my dad said was no ones business lol you all made our days week in week out GBNF Andy Goram here's to absent friends
