When reading the account of the Rameumptom, I am almost amazed at the close mindedness of the Zoramites. But then I think of my own life and wonder how many "High and Holy Places" do I have set up when it comes to judging others. Today I learned that Pride and judgement is a solo act (as is described by the Rameumptom's design to only allow one person at a time) and usually when I am acting "high" and mighty, I am either alone in the act or alienating myself because of my thoughts. I enjoyed this episode - keep up the great work!

I have to be honest, sometimes testimony meetings have overtones of the Rameumptom. At the very least they have become thanktimony meetings

I think for me as a woman today there is so much pressure to be sucked into the ideas about gender... senxuality... competition with men... working all hours... comparing ourselves with others... disbelief of the church... sicisl media rabbit holes and doom scrolling so that Korihor like ideology sadly rampant and is targeting women. I've lost track of how many conference talks that address sisterhood before brethren 😢. In war women are always targeted.... children too

I would love to see a artist’s interpretation of these Spiritual Avengers. Both a real interpretation and a superhero interpretation! I scoured the internet and couldn’t find very much - this is a glaring omission in our Book of Mormon studies! 😆

It's very interesting that you chose to show the Elder Packer video with regards to salt. It fit in nicely with the discussion of Korihor and recognizing his poor logic. However, when you look at Matthew 5:13, it was a spectacular choice to share the salt experience. Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Korihor truly lost his savor and was literally trodden under foot.

Every time I hear the word rameumptom.. I think of scripture scouts 😂

I did want to offer that whoredoms as a second definition that is "faithless, unworthy, or idolatrous practices or pursuits" which I like better than the standard unchaste/prostitution definition because in my experience generally when a person transgresses as far as I think we can assume these did it is rarely to a single sin. Why one may first turn to sexual promiscuity, they will soon if not at the same time turn to many others.

What would you say to someone with major linguistic concerns ? They’re really struggling :(

So, if there was no law against a person's beliefs (v 7-9), why was Korihor BOUND and delivered to the chief priest for sharing his beliefs (v.20 is one example) multiple times? Isn't this a contradiction?
